I haven't played Rimworld in awhile but I skimmed VFE security code, and it looks like the bug this patch fixes is still there, so mostly likely yes.

Hi! Is this mod still needed as of June 8, 2025?

sup fren, I've got the problem with VFE, but even after using your mod it still breaks sieges. I don't know why the fix doesn't apply; here the logs:

@PrinceAngelo No. This strictly fixes a bug with VFE Security that causes sieges to break. If you're getting broken sieges without it, it must be something else.

I have that bug with sieges but I'm not using VFE Security, could this work for me?

FINALLY! Someone fixed this. Thank you very much.

Finally someone has decided to fix this bug after several years. They honestly could have just disabled the other siege options from being used by raids since this and the catapult caused them so much trouble. There is a similar bug last time I checked if you get raided by one of the factions added by classical. They can use the scorpions to raid you but it will spit out a bunch of errors. I imagine no one caught that one since the classical factions start neutral and have to perform a siege.
