The liberation of Italy (Campaign)
*Loyalty Rewards:
Faction based, influenced by capturing and specific orders. These apply to all divisions, doesn't need any veterancy/experience. When divisions are decimated these remain.

*Reconnaissance and Sorties:
Send the Grasshopper to scout just before fog of war begins in a pocket to ensure the plane survives AA guns. Bombing runs are mostly used to target anything inland that the battleships and cruisers can't reach.

*Building and destroying emplacements:
At the start of the campaign there will be a lot of counterattacks and aerial resistance. AA emplacements are built by US Special Forces and AT by Airborne.

*Partisans:
Encircle ability very useful for a bombardment or counterattack.

*Turnbase economy:
Make sure to upgrade city resources, use the mobilisation ability, drop supplies when possible and flank emplacements. (Harbours increase population capacity)

*Divisions and risk mitigation:
Always heal and repair at the start of your turn and upgrade before skirmishes.
[Save often on regional map and in missions]

Multiplayer (Applies for Skirmish and Campaign as well)
*Battlegroup adaptability:
Choosing the ideal one for every terrain is difficult, and the upgrade path is even more so. It usually just depends on the specific battle. If you have ample resources to spare, Panthers, Tigers and the Archer are solid choices from their respective battlegroups. Some battlegroups have strong starts but lose out in the lategame like Airborne for the USF. The DAK can't even produce a MG squad unit until 2-3 minutes in.

*Supporting your Allies:
Resource caches, pings, assisting in defensive and offensive actions.

*Grouping forces for easy joint operation:
1.Select squads with selection box
OR by holding left shift and left click. (Also works with squad icons)
2.Continue holding shift and press a number to assign squads to a single key press.
OR by holding left control to reassign squads.

Very useful for blitz advances, using multiple engineer units for repairs, getting mobile artillery in and out for quick strikes.

*Losses and gains:
  • Preserve veteran/elite units.
  • Reinforce and heal don't replace squads.
  • Repelling attacks could be more valuable than gaining territory.
  • Well placed barrages and coordinated strikes could be decisive.
  • Make use of retreats and vehicle reverse orders.
  • Mind your flanks.

*Hotkeys:
U/T/A : Retreat
ctrl+1: Assign squad/s
Del: Reset view
Enter: Team chat
Shift+Enter: All player chat
Alt+Tab: To cycle active window if game is stuck on view rotation
W.A.S.D: Can be used for camera panning in alternative control scheme.
Space Bar: When you want to que actions instead of realtime commands (SinglePlayer)

Familiarity with grid keys are essential for multiplayer.

Please do not blob, it ruins the game and it's lazy.
Player Exploits (Solutions)
I detest these scum tactics so much that I decided to tell everyone how to counter them. Have fun losing blobbers. ヽ(^。^)ノ

Share with others and make multiplayer great again!

1. HMG paradrop exploit
a. Avoid at first until…
b. Flamers in half tracks (move in quick in and flank)
c. Mortars, smoke and incendiary barrages to get an opportunity to...
d. Use grenadiers to breach (if garrisoned if not flank around smoke)
e. Make sure to capture all weapon team equipment

2. Ranger/Grenadier blob
a. Keep your distance with infantry (they attack one squad usually to get a complete squad wipe and run)
b. Suppress them with a MG34 and sweep up
c. S-Mines
d. Lure them to an ally to help you deal with them
e. Stummel, Brumbar, bulldozer Sherman these are very effective against large groups.

3. Panzer/Tank blob
a. Mines (Well traversed ares and flanks, disperse Mines)
b. Combine anti tank weapons with an MG to keep infantry away and other AT weapons.
c. Hide riflemen/Volksgrenadiers behind a building or tall obstacles and wait until all those Panzer 3s
or Chaffees are close enough when they pass then throw 2 magnetic AT grenades at the vehicles each to disable tracks and give them what you got, don't forget to ping your Allies to see who gets to destroy them first.

4. Butterfly group Mines
a. Upgrade engineers with minesweeper package and right click on all that disabled Mines to clear them.
b. Clear Mines before retreat for obvious reasons.
c. Sherman Bulldozer works fine.
d. Use a vehicle or mortar's direct fire ability

Conclusion
I really hope this guide helps a little bit to ease frustrations and make the experience more enjoyable.

Thank you for reading my first guide.
FAQ
1.Q: Do you need to purchase these additional content DLCs to enjoy the game.
A: Absolutely not! (Only adds 6/5 more battlegroups for skirmishes and multiplayer, some can be used in the Italian campaign)
