The Airbus A310-300 is a shortened variant of the ever-popular A300, featuring less seating. It is used on shorter but higher demand flights where an A300 would be too large, but an A320 would be too small.
Sunset Airways acquired six A310s from Swissair in 2004, becoming their first aircraft. All were retired by 2008 due to the financial crisis. One crashed in 2005 as Flight 287.
