Autumn, Seafood bait [Eel] pluss please!

are shrimps only caught by fish traps? those traps are useless and expensive af. i've caught squid and octopus by fishing rod before.

I was having trouble finding the salmon in the lake at the foot of the mountain so I decided to try the river by the farm. I was getting them pretty much every catch here. Not sure if it's actually a thing or just my luck but I figured I'd share.
