Zombie Massacre Solo 2024 (Units/EXP/Event Coins)
由 sludge 制作
Made in Oct. 2024

Hello! First off, credit to Lauty for their Best build to play ZM Solo (UPDATED) as it is what I've used since the I originally found the guide years ago and have based off my own build as well as this guide. I wouldn't have played Zombie Massacre as much as I have now and certainly not as units farm if not for them.

How to play Singleplayer and Why
From the Main Menu of Tower Unite:

Game Worlds

Zombie Massacre

Compound

Singleplayer

Why?

Why Singleplayer:

Singleplayer awards the most points per day, as well as the most units. While co-op can work, can be fun, I personally play Solo while grinding for this purpose.
More points = more upgrades. More units = more worth your time.

Why Compound:

Compound, while having the [Hard] tag, is not hard, at least with how we play it. It is the middle ground of difficulty, awarding the most efficient exp towards Zombie Massacre as well as Units while being survivable and not overall frustrating.
You are the Survivor
For the purposes of this guide, we will be going Survivor.

You can choose whatever class you feel most comfortable with, but if you're reading this guide, more than likely you don't know what class to play, just want to grind, or are new to Zombie Massacre. Medic is an alternative, but falls off in terms of damage and their combo takes longer to cool down than Survivor, who can use theirs instantly as soon as 5 kills is gotten after ending their previous.

Survivor has 2 abilities:

Blade Trap and Ramming Shield.

Blade Trap is exactly what it sounds like. It places an AOE blade that rotates in a circle, killing any zombie that enters it. You will use this off cooldown. Place it down in the middle, then back up from it but move either to the left or right depending on spawns. Let it kill zombies, feel free to shoot your starting weapon (infinite ammo) especially at special zombies like Ghosts, Vampires, and Pumpkin Heads to kill them before they can get closer. They will all die from one on the Blade Trap though.

Ramming Shield is also exactly what it sounds like. You will be dashed forward, ramming any zombies in the way, killing any that you hit. Sometimes it takes a tick to register, but it does one hit kill like the Blade Trap. If you hold Forward you will go farther, otherwise you can stop a little short by hitting Back and walk into the zombies. I often do this myself and you'll see why.

Don't use your Ramming Shield while your Blade Trap is active unless needed such as to grab a special weapon. Instead, build your combo kill count to 5 so you have it ready, then when Blade Trap goes down, use it. Train zombies, combo kill count to 5, ram, rinse and repeat. When your Blade Trap comes back, place it down again, and back up.
Compound isn't Hard
Here is what you'll be visualizing while you play Compound:

Light Blue area is your play area. You spawn here, you will generally stay here. You can leave this area when Ramming and picking up special weapons, but always come back.

Red circles are zombie spawns. The ones on the right might get stuck, but will run up and around.

Light Green circles are gonna be your Blade Trap placements for Day 1. Standing on the Light Green X's depending on which side you put it on, it doesn't matter which but standing behind it will tunnel the zombies into it and not to you. You may get some stragglers.

Orange circle is where you'll place your Day 2+ Blade Trap. The corresponding X is where you'll be standing for it, same idea as the smaller ones. Zombies will pathfind into the Blade Trap trying to get to you.

Purple arrow is your Ramming Shield path. This is just to clarify how far you go, you go to the end of the path before it turns, and run back.
Day 1
TL;DR nothing to add here. Just follow the Compound map guide with your Blade Trap placement and Ramming Shield timing.
Day 2
At the end of Day 1 and into Day 2 Upgrades menu, you should have around 10k points. That is for killing all the zombies and surviving. Lost lives, health, etc. do not matter as far as I'm aware. If you died, you just start over on the Day.

And here are your Day 2 Upgrades:

You will be upgrading to:
Starting Weapon: Dual Handguns Blade Trap Level: Rugged
This will leave you with around 1k points.

And while I'm here,
DO NOT BUY STARTING HEALTH, LIVES, OR MOVEMENT SPEED.
It is a waste!

If you are having trouble surviving, and feel you need these things, I recommend instead practicing the day you are dying on. You may die once during a Day, that is okay! You have 2 lives.

As for Ammo Multiplier, Damage Multiplier, and Ramming Shield, these will come in later days.
Day 3
From here on out until Boss day, the strategy is the same.
I will just be listing upgrades.

Starting Weapon: Uzi Blade Trap Level: Ridiculous Ramming Shield Duration: 3.3 secs Damage Multiplier: 110%

You will be left with 100 points.
Day 4
Starting Weapon: Sawed-Off Ramming Shield Duration: 3.6 secs Damage Multiplier: 120%

You will be left with 800 points.
Day 5
Ramming Shield Duration: 3.9 secs Damage Multiplier: 130%

AND

Ammo Multiplier: 150%

Or if you've been struggling, you can instead ignore Ammo Multiplier (it only applies to special weapons) and go with

Starting Lives: 3 Starting Health: 130

Your Sawed-Off will be more than enough for Day 5 and upcoming Day 6 and the Boss. I usually have a special weapon on backup just in case, but I typically just use my starting weapon.
Day 6
BOSS TIME!

This is a different than Days 1-5. Instead, you will be fighting a boss.

For both bosses, just strafe in a large circle around the boss while shooting at the boss, shoot any enemies grouped up in your circle path, and Ramming Shield them if you need to. Place your Blade Trap on your path off cooldown. Move back and forth if you need to. Keep Sawed-Offing the boss.

You are winrar!!!
