Legacy Skybox

Description
This is not a file mod, and it doesn't require additional installation.
The mod has been tested on version 0.6.6 in Creative, Custom Game modes.

Some facts:
  • Sun changes its colour depending on the time of day.
  • The sun is fake. Since I couldn't achieve semi-transparency for sky to make only clouds visible with smooth gradient, I had to add fake sun.
  • The clouds aren't as saturated as in version 0.3.5, my attempts to make them more visible didn't work.
  • The term "skydome" is rather correct than "skybox", because the 3D model of the sky is shaped like a dome.

If the sun has a weird green outline, try setting Reflection Quality to Medium or lower.

This mod is not perfect. I have plans on how to improve it.

Эффект неба вращается вокруг головы персонажа. Кстати, угол вращения синхронизирован между игроками.
Текстура скайбокса находится здесь: ...\Scrap Mechanic\Data\Textures\Sky\sky.tga
Я продублировал ее в мод и внес некоторые изменения. Если хочешь поменять небо, нужно изменить ту текстуру, которая хранится в папке мода: ...\steamapps\workshop\content\387990\3336553361\Data\sky_dif.tga.

Это имба, советую скачать обязательно, я всегда грустил, что даже в играх прошлого столетия нормальное небо, а в скрап механике конченное, этот мод исправляет эту недоработку, самое крутое, что не нужно лезть в папку и потрашить игру, просто скачал и поставил галочку при заходе в мир, очень удобно

Not exactly what you said. I was referring to the state of the sky when it is COMPLETELY covered with dense grayish clouds, thereby creating a very peculiar and eerie atmosphere, complemented by a more subdued light.
