Change your video options

Then hit apply

If step one doesnt fix it.. Move your config.cfg file and autoexec.cfg so they dont work.


Then repeat step one.


Step one works. change the video options and hit apply it can give you a different result even if you think you just changed it to the same options it already had. The way the game is programmed allows a bug. Cycyling through and changing many of your video options to the same settings and hitting apply fixed a persistent crash in game.. A crash that seemed unfixable and would alwys trigger after about 30 secs when the game slowed down fast



Breakdown of why this can work: It was as if the video options i had previously applied became undone and crashed the game when i was tweaking my config.cfg and auteoexec files. So I needed to cycle the video options again and reapplyy them to work.

Someone else had mentioned this also fixing their game crashes. Fixed it for me too. Weird bug.
