The Hammerhead is intended to be a brawler ship, to head straight in head first and blow apart the enemy before delivering its dropships into the newly devastated area. To this end, it possesses a large array of front mounted weaponry, from rapid firing rocket launchers, to gatling guns. It is also equipped with a generous portion of heavy armor on the front of the ship, where it is expected to be receiving the most fire. Furthermore, to help it defend itself in head-first charges, It also has 10 decoy launchers, which it can use to overload enemy turrets for a short time, allowing the Hammerhead to do the damage it needs with minimal resistance.

In the event that the Hammerhead needs to escape, it has a large array of engines to give it a relatively quick acceleration for its size, and emergency reactors will help it to continue going even when it should have sustained fatal damage.
