BA Class 10, Core 2, Unlock Level 10 - Reforged Eden 2 Only

Primary roles: Space base, Module bays, Storage, Production, Farm, Utility, Solar, Zero Gravity, upgradable

Update 8/29/2024 - Fixed storage bays B4, B6, C1, and C3. They now all have the correct amount storage at 640K. No other changes were made.

The Hexus Station is a concept zero gravity production space station. It comes with a lot of storage and upgrade potential as well as 2 Helios module bays, Farm, and a 12 landing pad hangar. The design was inspired by stations in games like Elite Dangerous and No Mans Sky.

Stock Features

The Hexus Station comes stock with 25x640K storage bays, 144 grow plot farm (grow plots not included), 2 advanced constructors, 4 small constructors, 24 large solar panels, tons of boxes, several fridges and food processors, armor locker, armor repair, full med bay, extra storage rooms, small crew area, 2 Helios module bays, Core room, o2 and dispensers, 5 point WiFi, ATM, and a large zero G hangar with 12 landing pads.

The station was designed to not use gravity and instead jet pack around. At the top of the station is the farming area, repair console area, and crew section. The bottom of the station is a large production area as well as a core room. There are 2 additional areas located at the upper left and right of the hangar which holds o2 and solar capacitors as well as locations to add extra parts including an advanced generator.

Upgrade options

The station has locations to add 6 addition constructors/deconstructors, 2 universal constructors, 4 furnaces, 4 small constructors, 4 small, 4 medium, and 4 large turbines, CPU core blocks, additional solar capacitors, fuel tanks, oxygen tanks, teleporter, repair bay, armor repair bay, and 144 grow plots. You will find additional bulk part placement areas in two side rooms off the main hangar.

Offense and defense

The hull is built with steel, the interior is built with carbon substrate and cargo extensions. It does not have any offense or defense and should be placed in a non hostile space location close to a star for best solar potential.

Notes: By default info LCD's are on but can be shut off with a P menu option. The info LCD's also opens doors on either side of the production area for turbine placement. The 2 side rooms with extra space are access able in the upper middle of each side of the hangar. Additional P menu options are ready to assign new equipment including furnaces, deconstructors, and production bay 2.

Helios Modules are CV's - there is no CV to BA docking

having issues getting the Helios modules to properly dock to this station. is there a trick to it or no?

Just to confirm, you're supposed to remove the LCD's before adding the corresponding part right? Just built this for the first time and I'm remembering why I love this game so much.

Love the base, but just wanted to point out 1 missed opportunity here. You should have(IMO) built the crop floor on the roof(by comparison to where it currently is, which we will refer to as the floor lol). This would enable you to have dual gravity fields, meaning you could jump from the industrial floor up to the crop and food floor. Basically, you jump up and by the time you hit max jump height you are exiting the gravity field, and forward momentum carries you to the next gravity field, at which time you just land on your feet at the crop floor. Would take some creativity which I lack, to redesign that floor, but I thought I would drop that idea here as a future improvement if you re-do this base ever. Thanks for all the cool builds

So here's a thought. With the new gravity generators, would it be possible to split the station in half with an upper/lower set with the gravity pointing outwards? This would take a serious redesign, so probably not for this, but just wondering aloud if that would be a cool concept for a space station.

this is a great home space base. it spawns as minimalist, it has intuitive room for internal growth AND can expand with helios modules. the zero-g concept is just cool icing on the functional cake. expands and upholds the jrandall brand.

Never mind I just found it lol. After about a few hours playing aorund in it ^_^. I never once thought to look up at the ceiling when in the constructors area lol. My bad.

where do the turbines go? 9. Locations to add 4 small, 4 medium, and 4 large turbines I can't seem to find a marked spot. I think I found the section the advanced generator goes
