Leírás
Using timed button in first person.

Shadowysn created the origin mod: L4D1 Timed Buttons script .
Basically it's same as Shadowysn's, but I did not touch the button entity, should be more compatible with custom maps.

Differences:
  • cannot move around while holding the button.
  • created a method almost same as vanilla game to check the player is looking at the button more or less, within the allowed viewing angle, the progress will not be interrupted due to conflict between the two methods.
  • chat commands(use "!fbtn " as prefix):
    Command

    3rd
    toggle third person or first person.
    if can not activate the button, back to third person temporary.
    and please report the bug.
    example:
    !fbtn 3rd
    mode
    [0|1|2]
    see preview image.
    0 - "LookAt": target will change if look at other timed button, this is the default mode.
    1 - "POV": target will not change within a certain viewing angle.
    2 - "LookAround": like third person, can rotate the camera, also can't fire & reload & shove, but pills and adrenaline.
    example:

    draw button's bounding box.

It seemed like it would work for a a couple of seconds and it would just cancel out. I'm not sure if its a map specific thing but I was playing the Resident Evil 1 campaign. Weirdly enough when I tried again with the origin L4D1 Timed Buttons script to see if it had the same problem it didn't

Did they interrupt from the beginning or did they interrupt after a while?

Not sure why but when I was using this when my teammates would try to hold the button it always kept getting interrupted for them somehow no infected around to hit them and they were not reloading. I could do it just fine though.
