The first Step
If you own the DLC, go to the broken plane of the Horizon Flight 1207 - in the southeast of Far Harbor City
Talk to Erickson
When you enter the plane you'll meet Erickson - a Supermutant who appears actually as an enemy. But don't worry, instead of shooting just talk to him and nothing happens. Make a smaltalk and ask him for his dogs. So you'll get the option to buy them.
For 250 Caps you can buy now....













.....the Wolf Mishka, the Rottweiler Duke or the Mutantdog Gracie and can send them to your settlements. Just build/have a doghouse there and they will appear in your settlement around one week later.
They are no Companions....
... but they'll give defense points to that settlement, and will fight against any attackers. Unlike other dogs, they does not increase settlement happiness. Possibly at higher levels, Mishka can even spawn as a glowing wolf.




















Note: Visiting the place around 2 weeks later Erickson has trained new dogs/wolfes to trade

You can return after awhile and he has more to sell. They are like the cats. They don't do much but bring happiness. I had a rad wolf from Erickson I sent to Vault 88. They shot him every so often like clockwork but didn't kill him. I think it was the rads he puts out. I move him to an outside settlement and that works a lot better than a vault.
