There are various other mods to reveal the entire galaxy, automatically grant trade subscriptions for each faction, or reduce the relationship requirement to purchase it.
Regarding snapshot window - that seems to only work for stations that I already discovered myself. All stations revealed by this mod actually peek through "fog of exploration" of the map without dispersing it. No snapshots even right after game load, no need to wait for 5 hours. As a side effect, Sector Explorer now ignores those stations (as they are marked as "known"), and therefore does not disperse "fog of exploration" around them.
Trade Subscription is gatekeeped behind 20+ relation, making it inaccessible when I need trade info the most. By the time I grind up to 20+ relations I'll already have full cycle of production stations and won't need their trade info any more.
Revealing trade information is not the main purpose. It is intended to remove the other boring job of manually discovering and scanning stations.
Trade information should be revealed during the 5 hour snapshot window. If you play for longer than 5 hours at a time, you could force it to refresh the snapshot by saving and then reloading the game.
I would suggest buying the Trade Subscription from each faction. It gives permanent trade information without satellites.
Am I supposed to visit (or even cover with satellites) them manually after that? That's quite tedious, and I was hoping this mod would save me from exactly this boring job.
No, it only reveals stations.
Yes. All stations in known sectors will be revealed.
I don't remember the condition for revealing the name, so I'm not sure.
