Let's say the unknown config of the machine is 3-1-2-1
If you put in the canisters 1-1-1-2 and go half power, then you'll know slot one is a 3 canister because the one blows. Then at full power, the 3rd spot is going to blow and you'll replace it with a 2. However, following your guide, you'll think the machine is good because you never replaced that last 2 with a 1 canister. This is a common mistake when doing pressure.
Always be sure to switch out the initial 2 canister with a 1 before attempting the other side to see if your initial 2 canister could actually be completed with a 1.
