The Aegis is a core 5 light carrier ship for RE2. It’s designed to function as a mobile base for the explorer who doesn’t like to be tied down. It comes with all the amenities necessary for life on the fringe such as a 32 unit garden, an advanced mobile repair bay, and generous amounts of cargo storage. To further extend the ship’s utility, it includes a pair of Astra bays allowing for a multitude of support vessels to dock directly with the Aegis. This ship will idle without using fuel while thrusters and other non-essential systems are inactive. Lastly, there are LCDs to help you locate areas for upgrades, check the signals menu. This is a continuation of the line of ships started with the Gladius, produced by ONYX Systems.

anyone know what the dimensions on the module slots are?

Hi Dadrick. I've built a couple of new ships for myself that started with a copy of your engine nacelles and the blocks bounding the Astra dock (with some modifications, but clearly derived from yours). Do I have your permission to release those ships, or would you like me to rebuild those parts first?

Yeah, it's certainly a nice build as a ship that you can live off of, use attack SVs from, then haul the loot back. I would probably switch out the turrets for lasers and flaks (though flaks don't work on planets still I think) and maybe add a multi-turret or laser drills to zap up those asteroids (and switch one of the container controllers to a harvest controller.)

Nice ship, I picked it looking for a freighter and boy, it's a space truck with 2 detachable containers :)

Love this ship. So many playthrough over 2000hours on one game >.< usually start with the camerat but iv rebuilt that so many time time I too a chance on a change and wow. off loading weight and production cpu onto modules is a game changer :D I stripped your Aegis down to c1.. with no zas so i can can bring it in as a starter rather than an upgrade. also desecrated your living quarters but i got 90 grow plots in there, sorry for the ceiling it destroyed the bridge floor and i added a mounting for radar array... heartbreaking that iv butchered your build but iv had many hours of added gameplay thanks to you creation so much love :)
Iv posted my chopshop Aegis with links to your workshop and much luv given but if it offends ill take it down.
Thankyou again for sharing.
