@Shiranami, I also just started playing trails series. All I can say is the lore are continuous from sky to the newest entry, but still different protagonist, some NPC from older games will appear on newer games so it is more preferable to start from trails of sky. You can also play sky FC remake and if by any chance you want to continue the story and cannot wait for the remake, you can dive directly to sky SC original

Doesn't Trail of Zero and Cold Steel Happen at the same time?

question. newcomer to this series and there is remake of trails in the sky FC and maybe remake on SC & TC, so i will play it when it release. for now can i start from trails from zero / cold steel series without get spoiler for what happen in trails in the sky series?

Nayuta is a VERY loose spin off. I honestly wouldn’t even label it as one. It’s entirely skippable as it adds nothing to the trails series.
