Hmm I don't think so, i know that you couldnt do the class mods grind in the vanilla game, Lasers I think should work, I believe it was there since the start but even then I am not sure. I would suggest to get the updates and not stick with the vanilla game though

if you loonstone 3 green lasors you get a blue rifle shotgun or sniper every time. dont lunestone grind anything below blue.

I used 3 glitched weapon and made a glitched weapon out of it, otherwise no idea if you can grind 1 with others as ive been unable to so far

Update.: 3 Epic Class mod + moonstone grind = Random Legendary class mod (1 enforcer 1 doppel 2 law Chronicler of Elpiss and one doppel Eridian Vanquisher)
