NOTICE!! The Gryphon is designed for REFORGED EDEN 2, and will not function in other versions.

This is my first CV Design from the ground up, so your comments/suggestions would be much appreciated.

UPDATE 8/19/20:
Significantly increased the armor in the nose based on some combat trials. Changed the color scheme and added some external texturing based on some comments received.

UPDATE 8/17/24:
Widened the Necelle Support Arms to better Fit Heavy Weapons

UPDATE 8/3/24:
Moved the Necelles out 2 blocks to accommodate 2x Heavy Mounted weapons on top of the support arms and one underneath. Also some minor Texturing tweeks.

HISTORY

The USF – Universal Science Foundation, was formed to explore the unknown reaches of space and discover new life forms and cultures. Our early exploration ships didn’t last long, as we discovered that the universe is respite with many warring cultures whose only respect is for those that have a bigger stick to wield.

The Gryphon was designed to carry out its main mission of exploration, but to have the power to overcome Drone Swarms and Legacy forces wherever encountered.

The Foundation was formed 1492 earth years after the first space launch as part of a treaty between Races from different quadrants and the Gryphon takes it’s designation in memory of that Momentous Event and adopted the name "GRYPHON" after the mythological creature that is part peaceful Bird and part Fierce Lion.

The GRYPHON comes out of the factory as a core 9 design. And is easily upgradeable to core 11+. Once upgraded to Core 11, it is a formidable Legacy/Drone Hunter.

It’s primary purpose is Exploration, Legacy Attack Ship, Drone Combat, and Small Scale Production

• Locations marked to add Deconstructor, Universal Constructor and a Repair Console
  
• Designated space to add Quantum CPU Extenders, & Quantum Cores
  
• Designated space to add Small Reactor
  
• Shields are at 103,616 with a decent recharge rate & free space to add additional shield parts
  
• Potential locations marked for up to 4-5x5 Turrets and 40-3x3 turrets
  
• Space for Light/Medium/Large Cannons on Nacelle support arms
  
• 4x Enhanced Matter Transceivers
