LIM Constellation Orion | Heavy Freighter

A relic of Lagrange's past, the Constellation Orion was and still is a long-range cargo hauler of basic design. A habitation and command module at the front, an engine housing in the rear, and rows of cargo crates in between. Constructed originally in 2032, these hardened ships are minimally-turreted to deal with basic pirate threats and provide a healthy baseline for human habitation in early space expansion. These ships were not entirely designed for planetary flight, however, and as such are not fitted for landing on planets - but can skim by their atmosphere with backup atmospheric turbines on the ventral portion of the vessel.

Built off of the Constellation series, the Orion was the first long-distance hauler of the family. While the family is modular, some pre-orchestrated combinations were sold to civilian and military organizations for ease of use. Some were early space-faring carriers, others haulers and construction vessels. The Constellation series knew few bounds and served as Humanity's industrial forerunners during the great expansion of early interstellar and interplanetary travel.
