Getting Started
First of all let's start with a simple list:

Fixing the Settings
Enemy players could check your inventory to see your set during warmup before the match start. This provides them the necessary information to kill you easier in the dungeon if you encounter them later. Let's fix this:

You can also adjust the mouse sensitivity for yourself:

Visiting the Alchemist
You wouldn't like to lose too much stuff when you die so let's cook the most simple elixirs only. Healing potion and bandage are essential for your survival against both monsters and players. Mana potion helps a lot if your class has a mana bar. Thunderclap flask is good for slowing down your enemies so you can chase them or run away. Stoneshaping flask works the same way. Trap your enemies by throwing a wall on their way or close a doorway by putting up this wall so they can't chase you for a while. Flask of shielding grants lots of shield if used before a fight, increasing the survival chance drastically.

Visiting the Heirloom

Visiting the Merchant
Most items are overpriced so it's best to buy bolts, rusted swords and torches only. Bolts are used as ammunition for crossbows, rusted swords are the ammunition for Swordmaster class and torches are generally useful.

Trade Items
I suggest you to buy only 2 rings and maybe an uncommon weapon(unless you receive one from Heirloom). They will add a lot to your combat capabilities.

Description
You wouldn't want to invest more to any of these steps by spending too much resources because PVP combat never guarantees a certain win. There is a chance that you would lose a 1v1 fight or get outnumbered by hostile players which leads to losing your inventory. Losing is ok, as long as you are learning from your mistakes. You would lose 2000 gold and few crafting pieces by following these steps every time you die so it's not a big loss. The prize is much bigger though, you could loot other players loots if you manage to kill them.
Mentality & Philosophy of Loss
First of all, this is just a game to have fun. It's not a job nor something really important. You will learn how to win in this guide but you need to learn how to handle losing as well for overall better performance. Some people have to win for fun and some don't have to. It's still frustrating to lose your equipped gear so some gold after a death. It makes everyone feel bad when they spectate their killer while their corpse is getting looted. Solution is simple as this:
  • Get over the materialism. Don't let "The things you own end up owning you". This game isn't even real life, just a virtual currency and items. There is no need to get worried over virtual stuff. You actually lose nothing but some time in exchange of fun when you die. Just become a Dungeonborne enjoyer,a real dungeonborne borns and eventually dies in dungeons. There is no exceptions.

  • Remember your first game in Dungeonborne, you had nothing but default gray gear. It's ok to go back to the beginning, a fresh start is ok. You no longer fear of losing stuff in your next game. You are a free man at that point. You can grab your heirloom gear and few potions to go all in pvp. Your gear might be weaker than before but your mentality and greed are even stronger now. Experience is the key.

  • There are no enemies but conflicts with other adventurers along the path you walk in dungeons. They all earned and lost hard-earned gear. They are all trying to fun just like you do. The real enemy lays inside of you, beat your fear of losing and you could end up winning for real.

  • Learn from others, dying is a great opportunity to learn from mistakes. Don't queue for next game right after dying IF you are looking for self improvement. Think about it, remember how your opponent killed you. What did they to do you? What they were better at? How and why did you die? Remember, losing some gold is nothing if you manage to learn a lesson from that you will keep in mind forever.

  • Understand and accept the reality of this game. Do you know the "Fortune Favors The Bold", that one screen which pops up when you escape from a dungeon? Then you are familiar with that Ouroboros image. The self-eating serpent is a symbol of eternal loop, a cycle of life. You will sometimes loot others and sometimes others will loot you. Killing comes with the risk of getting killed, every kill you take gets you closer to death just like every death feeds your greed for loot. It's perfectly normal to feel in a loop while playing Dungeonborne for a long time, this is what it is like.

  • Dying doesn't mean skill issue. You might get ambushed, g*ngb*nged or just be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • This is your game your rules. You could play like Braveheart and charge into everyone you see to slay them on spot, play like a rat hiding in shadows and looting chests secretly, play like a friendly player to recruit friends from your opponents. The game never ends until you give up: The only fight you lost is the one you stopped fighting for.
Psychological Warfare
Winning the fight mentally is the most important step towards victory. Do these for a better outcome:
  • Believe in yourself, you are the hunter who is hunting for other players' loot. You will hunt them, they won't hunt you.

  • Don't get stressed out neither too excited. This is your job, to win. Even if you somehow lose, you will win the next fight so no need to get stressed.

  • Focus on the movements of your opponent. If they are doing unorganized, unstable, irregular moves then they are most likely scared or better: performing random attacks out of desperation. If this is the case then there are 2 options for you: attack them with everything you have so they might panic and start to flee. Keep defending yourself with block/parry/dodge so they will get tired or eventually lose their hope to kill you. Most players lose themselves once the fight extends more than they thought. This is a risky situation for you as well as them because the fighting sounds could attaract more players to the area the longer fight lasts.

  • Remove your helmet visually before the match, it doesn't remove your helmet's stats but it doesn't appear on your face so your opponent might think:
1- You don't wear an helmet(at least visiually but they don't know) so you are an easy target for them. This encourages them to attack you, a natural taunting way to force your preys attack you.
2- They might think you are too confident about fighting so you didn't even need to wear an helmet. This would increase the panic level of some PvE focused players.

  • Use the environment to your advantage, gaining a highground means you are in advantage both physically and psychologically. You can also use nearby monsters to deal damage to your opponent but remember it's a double edged sword. Bosses are pretty good teammates, try pushing your opponent towards them if there is a nearby npc boss.

  • Weaken your enemy by doing some(not all) ranged attacks first. Not only it reduces their hp but deals damage to their mental state. Some weak people will think: "I lost %... of my health already, this is a lost fight". These kind of people are in every multiplayer game and they usually lose even though they are capable of winning in fact.

  • Jumping and crouching during a fight might confuse your enemy. Some people are playing with same few patterns(sometimes only one) so doing some dodges or jumping attacks could ruin their entire fighting strategy. Try this out to make their guard fall down.

Entering The Combat
First of all you need to identify your enemy. Look at them, try to understand what class they are and what gear they are using. To do this, you just need to remember these:

Human two-handed sword user is most likely a fighter or swordmaster, if it's a skeleton it's a death knight:

2 one-handed (double)sword user is probably a swordmaster/figter/deathknight:

Dagger user is certainly a rogue. Might be a fighter. Wears a hood on his head if it's a rogue:
IMAGE

Human mages(with robe) are probably pyromancers, might be a priest as well. They have orbs and magic staff. Take it as a pyromancer since it's dangerous and priest is too easy to kill:

Skeleton mages(with robe) are certainly cryomancers. They have orbs and magic staff:

Knowing about all abilities in game is a great advantage, you can read about them at character list in game. For example you would know swordmaster has an ability that floats swords around him and pyromancer throws fireballs etc.

Weapons Attributes(Basic)
Each equipped weapon adds some basic and advanced stats to your character. You can view them in game by holding your mouse on them.

WORK IN PROGRESS
Basic Combat for Fighter
Fighter
Recommended 1v1 class for beginners. It has a great amount of hp, damage, sustain and agility capabilities. Their passive skills are solid and active skills are directly impactful in 1v1 fights.

Weapons:
One-handed swords, two-handed swords, crossbows, daggers, shields, one-handed maces.

Active Skills:

Q ability option #1: Whirlwind deals lots of AoE damage but it's easy to avoid in open places. It's pretty much useless against agile opponents since they can just walk away. It's "click and win" ability if you manage to trap your opponent in a narrow passage or a corner though. It's not pretty good in 1v1 situations overall. You can use this ability for easy kills against bad opponents but better opponents would counter you easily by holding their block or running away.
Q ability option #2: Battle Cry increases your attack damage and physical resistine by %30 while also granting %30 lifesteal for 5 seconds. The duration is short and the cooldown is long so you should use it carefully. Timing is the key here. If you see an opportunity to land several attacks in a row on your enemy during the fight then use it.

E ability option #1:Charge is good for running into your enemies, especially the ranged ones but don't use it too quick! Opponents with knock-up and push-back abilities are able to waste this ability. Walk on them first, bait their CC ability and then Charge! into them since they can't get away anymore. It's also used for retreating, a free escape tool against slow opponents. You can try dodging high damage abilities such as Pyro's fireball by using Charge.
E ability option #2: Inspire grants you fixed 150 movement speed(default fighter has base 314 movement speed) so it means walking %50 faster for 3 seconds. It's not too powerful in 1v1 situations unless you are chasing someone but still a pretty good alternative to Charge ability when you are playing with a team. Your nearby allies benefit from this ability so you can charge into your enemies as a group with a coordinated attack with this movement speed bonus.

Passive Skills:

Hamstring: While Whirlwind/Battle Cry is active, hitting an enemy with a weapon applies a %20 slow. This is amazing for keeping the enemy in your melee range once you manage to hit them. They can't run away and they can't dodge your weapon attacks easily.

Fired Up: E ability has 2 charges. This is extremely useful against everything but it requires 87 strength to get activated. 3 strength heirlooms(weapon and clothes) + 2 rings + necklace + several green strength gear lets you activate it. You can easily escape from other fighters who didn't activate this, You can dodge offensive flasks, you can dodge some skillshot abilities, you can catch your enemies easily with 2 charges + charged heavy attack. I highly recommend you to use this if you can.

Vengeful Riposte: After a successful block, your next attack is guaranteed to a be a critical strike. This lets you not spend items on building up your critical strike chance because you can always get %100 critical strike chance by blocking an attack. If your opponent can't block your riposte, you can beat them easily by blocking(%75-100 of damage) or parrying then counterattacking with Vengeful Riposte.

Weapon Mastery: When releasing Whirlwind/Battle Cry, gain a 200 point shield for 8 seconds. You can stack this with shielding potion so it's extra 450hp. If you are bad at blocking/parrying then this would help a lot.

Restraint: Cannot damage allies and cannot be damaged by allies. You can spam your abilities around each other with your teammates. It makes your team's fighting strategy much more powerful if you catch the synergy.

Basics of Combat:
Sword Slashing

It's the basic light attack made by pressing LMB. Its wide arc deals damage to multiple enemies on longswords(two-handed).

Sword Piercing
It's the third attack move after 2 slashing swings. It's relatively harder to land this one on enemies due to its smaller hitbox. You can do your enemies shish-kebab though. Two-handed swords has a really long reach with this attack. Shish-kebab attack:

Sword With Shield Heavy Attack

Holding down the LMB charges your sword for few seconds for max damage while reducing your movement speed until it's fully charged, you can keep holding it as long as you want before you jump into an enemy with this attack. It breaks defensive stances.

Mace Smashing

You can just bonk your enemies with this. It deals high damage and has a high attack rate. Using this with a shield is a must. Easy to use and very effective in melee only fights.

Mace With Shield Heavy Attack

Holding down the LMB charges your mace for few seconds for max damage while reducing your movement speed until it's fully charged, you can keep holding it as long as you want before you jump into an enemy with this attack. It breaks defensive stances.

Headshot

Hitting your enemy's head will always result in a critical damage. Try to aim for it but don't forget that most blocking stances are specifically protecting the head.

Dodge

You can jump and walk around to prevent getting hit especially by ranged weapons.

Block

Just hold RMB to reduce the damage taken based on your weapon's defensive stats. You can press LMB to do a counterattack after blocking an attack. It deals some damage.

Parry

A well timed block gives an ability to counterattack with a great damage output. If you manage to press the block button right before getting hit then press LMB to strike back with a parry. You need to aim on your enemy to land the parry attack, otherwise you might miss it.

Crouching Tiger

If your opponent aims for the head/upper body while swinging their melee weapon, you can crouch and strike back with a quick melee attack.

Dash & Hit

When the Charge ability is equipped, you can use it to take down fleeing opponents or make a quick offensive move during a duel. It's easily combined with light and heavy attacks so their animations don't cancel each other. This means you can Charge into your enemies mid-attack resulting in a %100 accuracy hit.

Dealing with Shield-wielding Enemies

Shield is held by left hand so try attacking to enemies on their other flank. If they are playing too passive like holding the block button all the time then you can break through their shield by making a heavy attack. Many abilities are countered by shield so don't waste your Whirlwind attack if your opponent has a shield with them.

Catwalk

This traditional way of movement is a simple sword fighting technic. You should walk around your enemy by doing circles while approaching them for an attack or just to taunt them. It also lets you see the surrounding arreas to figure out are there any other incoming danger from enviromenment.
Basic Combat for Rogue
Rogue
A sneaky, deadly, agile class for assasinations. It doesn't have much hp and variety of weapons but it's the fastest class in the game. Stealth ability is a free jailbreak card which usually works fine. Highly dependant on the situation/opportunity. It deals bonus damage when attacks from behind.

Weapons:
One-handed swords, daggers, crossbows.

Active Skills:

Q ability option #1:[/b Petrifying Poison lets you improve your next attack which petrifies enemies(they can't do anything but they are immune to damage). It's removed when the target is attacked. You can trap your enemy by applying this poison and then throw them flasks right before the posion breaks. You can petrify your next crossbow bolt as well. It's also used for locking down enemies when you need to escape. This ability is counterable by blocking. Pay attention to your enemy to avoid wasting your skill. Q ability option #2: Quick Blades throws 6 daggers in front of you, causing a %70 slow effect for 3 seconds. It's currently not in meta but it's still useful for some extra damage since the petrifying poison is better than the slow effect as a crowd control ability.

E ability option #1: Vanish grants 15 seconds of stealth after channeling for 3 seconds. This is good for stalking your enemies, especially the ranged low hp ones. The downside is obviously the channeling time because it makes you vulnerable before you go stealth. It's usually used before entering combat since it's not easy to channel it while getting attacked. It grants increased critical strike chance as well.
E ability option #2: Swift Concealment grants 6 seconds of stealth immediately. This is much easier to use even during combat but doesn't last for long. It's recommended to use this one if you are a confident and agressive assasin. It grants increased critical strike chance as well.

Passive Skills:

Toxic Cloak: When Q skill activates, enter stealth. This is pretty good because it grants you another option of stealth so you can keep your E abilitiy for later.

Featherfoot: Entering stealth increases movement speed by 200, decaying over 5 seconds. It's especially useful while fleeing from a fight with stealth but also useful for closing the distance between you and your enemy while chasing them down.

Stealthbreak Venom: While in stealth, unblocked attacks apply poison, dealing 150 damage over 3 seconds. It increases your damage too much overall and you can just attack to your enemies with this 3-4 times until they die. Even toughest classes have around 1000 hp with gear. It works perfectly with rest of Rogue's kit.

Evaporate: Enter stealth after killing an enemy. This is extremely useful against monsters because you can get into stealth everytime you kill one so you can easily backstab them resulting in great damage outcome by the help of stealth. It's also useful in teamfights if you are playing as a team.

Ambush: Stealth grants %50 lifesteal. This effect lasts until stealth ends. Basically your first attack during stealth heals you. It's very effective when striking enemies with hit & run tactics. You get to heal yourself everytime while dealing damage to your opponent.

Basics of Combat:

Light Attack

It's series of quick light attacks. Doesn't deal high damage and it's usually not enough to fight other melee classes face to face.

Double Blade Thrust

It's Rogue's heavy attack which breaks defensive stances.

Backstab

It's Rogue's basic attack for assasinating. It always deals critical strike damage and has a really high damage output. You need to stay behind your target to keep making this attack. Doing some light attacks after this might kill your target quickly.

Ranged Petrifying Attack

Petrifying Poison(Q ability) is applied to both melee and ranged weapons. You can catch your enemies on distance by applying it to your crossbow. You can also petrify your opponent when you take lethal damage. Petrify's duration is enough to drink 1 pot + use 1 bandage.

Rogue Block(Backward Dash)

Rogue gets pushed backwards when hit during daggers' blocking. Holding down the blocking button and turning your back to enemy will cause you to dash behind them so you can just backstab them for free. This might be changed in incoming patches.

Assasin Movement

You can climb some places by jumping on them and searching for targets from somewhere high is much better. Find a good nesting spot, watch out for nearby targets and wait for them to stay alone. It's best to catch them off guard when they are looting after a fight. People usually get shocked and can't even react before they die in few seconds when they are caught off guard. You can also walk through spike traps, they are too slow to hit a rogue.

Avoding the Light

Stealth doesn't mean absolute invisibility. Other players are able to see your outlines near torches around the map. They can also hold a torch on their hand to reveal you. You should extinguish the nearby lights by holding down the interaction button when setting up an ambush. You can also extinguish all the lights you see through your adventure so you gain a "stealth free safe zone" for yourself. It's good for both fleeing and fighting enemies in. Example of created safe zone:

Thief Skills

Thanks to your stealth abilities, you can just steal all the loot from chests(even from boss chests) without getting into combat. All you need is looting fast and running away.
Basic Combat for Death Knight
Death Knight
A good melee class for hunting/catching down your enemies. It shines in close quarter combat but capable of forcing ranged enemies to fight in melee. Unique race feature grants you infinite energy as long as you kill monsters all the time.

Weapons:
One-handed swords, two-handed swords, crossbows, shields, one-handed maces.

Active Skills:

Q ability option #1: Soul Shroud grants an aura to the user that slows nearby enemies, damages them and reduces damage taken by the user. It has a short channeling animation so your opponent might deal you lethal damage during it. It has a really good with synergy with your E ability, you can easily trap your enemies with that combo.
Q ability option #2: Soulstorm deals little AOE damage constantly until the user runs out of soul energy. It doesn't have a channeling animation so using this one is less risky even though it's clearly weaker.

E ability option #1:Grasp of the Grave is basically a hook that pulls your enemies towards you. It deals a small amount of shadow damage and restores some soul energy when hit an enemy. This is great for catching the running enemies, it works very well when combined with Q ability option 1. It doesn't consume any energy.
E ability option #2:

Passive Skills:

Soul Reaper: Resets the cooldown of Grasp of the Grave after getting a kill. It's good for teamfights.

Lifesteal: Aborbing 1 soul energy restores 14 life. It provides sustain over time, you get to heal a lot by killing monsters. It doesn't heal you up when your soul energy bar is full though. It's recommended to choose Soulstorm to spend some of your soul energy to keep healing yourself.

Grim Harvest: Grasp of the Grave generates 20 soul energy if it hits an enemy target.

Soul Cage: Q skill generates a 200hp shield lasting 8 seconds with 30 seconds cooldown.

Decay: Enemies effected by Q skill are slowed by %25 for 0.5 seconds.

Basics of Combat:

Elemental Damage(Shadow)

Restoring Soul Energy

As an undead, you don't use mana but a soul energy bar instead. It's filled with the creatures you killed, it could be monsters and players. Walking near your victim's corpse is enough to obtain their soul orbs. It's used by all of your skills so make sure you have enough of it against another player.

You can do your enemies shish-kebab tho. Two-handed swords has a really long reach with this attack. Shish-kebab attack:

Sword Heavy Attack

You need to hold LMB for a while to release this devastating attack. It deals more damage than a normal attack and capable of breaking enemy's defensive stance. Could be combined with other skills.

Try to aim for it but don't forget that most blocking stances are spesifically protecting the head.

Basic Combat for Swordmaster
Swordmaster
It's very powerful in 1v1 situations. Has a ranged attack, decent mobility and high damage output.

Weapons:
One-handed swords, two-handed swords, crossbows, daggers, shields.

Active Skills:

Q ability option #1: Psionic Blades summons up to 4 blades(by the time) from your inventory. Then you can throw them on your enemies. It consumes 1-4 swords so you need ammunation for this skill. Rusty swords are getting sold for 25 gold each by the merchant. Using higher quality one-handed swords for this skill deals more damage but it gets more expensive. You can get into fight with this skill every time because there is a chance that your enemy isn't full hp and they will die jusy by this. Retreating a bit to summon your swords again once in a while during a fight is an effective way of fighting for swordmasters.
Q ability option #2:

E ability option #1:Whirling Blade summons 1 sword(so it consumes) from your inventory and it constantly orbits around the user for 8 seconds, dealing some damage to nearby enemies. It's used when your opponent is near you but make sure they don't walk away when you use this ability. Thunderclap flask works well to keep them in this ability's distance. Watch out for shields because they counter this ability. It's also parryable so be careful if your opponent blocks during it.
E ability option #2:

Passive Skills:

Healing Scabbard: Psionic Blades restores 30 life to the swordmaster when it deals unblocked damage.

Flurry of Blades: After simultaneously launching 3-4 blades by Psionic Blades ability, the skill cooldown is reduced to 10-15 seconds.

Deflection: While Whirling Blade is active, damage taken is reduced by %50. Probably the most powerful passive skill.

Momentum: Psionic Blades increases your critical strike chance by %50 for 5 seconds after hitting an enemy. Basic attacks deal huge amount of damage if you manage to hit your enemy after using Psionic Blades. Critical strike chance could be %100 when combined with potions and gear.

Crippling Strike: If Psionic Blades critically hits an enemy, enemy's movement speed is reduced by 60 for 5 seconds. It's barely %20 slow so it's good to catch your enemies with this. You can also combine it with flasks to deal even more damage to the slowed enemy.

Basics of Combat:
Elf Passive

Crouching and standing still grants you invisibility. It could be used for setting up an ambush and during looting to avoid enemies.

Double Swords/b]

It's strongly recommended to use two one-handed swords in one of your weapon sets due to high critical strike chance of swordmasters. Using these weapons let you make lots of critical strikes on your opponents because of its high attack speed.

Sword Stacking

You can stack some sword sets(each contains 4 swords) in your inventory. I marked each set with different color to show you. 1 set is equal to one fully charged Psionic Blades attack so make sure you have enough of them. You can drop the extra swords once you find something valuable to loot. Having 2-3 sets is enough unless you are fighting other players too often.

You can do your enemies shish-kebab tho. Two-handed swords has a really long reach with this attack. Shish-kebab attack:

Basic Combat For Priest
CANCELLED due to mass player loss. Might be updated in future.
Basic Combat For Pyromancer
CANCELLED due to mass player loss. Might be updated in future.
Basic Combat for Cryomancer
Cryomancer
It has great CC(crowd control) potential with good damage output. It works great in a team but is also powerful while playing solo. It's basically an ice mage

Weapons:
One-handed swords, daggers, staffs, orbs

Active Skills:

Q ability option #1: Ice Storm creates a controllable damage zone which slows enemies and deals little damage over time. Once the channeling ends, it can't be moved anymore and deals active damage while slowing enemies even more. Staff/orb required for casting. High critical strike rate is highly recommended since the whole ability benefits from it.
Q ability option #2: Frostbite Curse is a point and click ability. It deals active damage and applies slow while marking the enemy, the mark deals passive damage over time and heals the caster. Multiple targets could be effected simultaneously but a target could carry one mark only. Staff/orb required for casting. High critical strike rate is highly recommended since the whole ability benefits from it.

E ability option #1: Frost Barrier creates a protective barrier around the caster, grants %100 dmg reduction. It will also recover hp every second for the duration of ability. The caster could leave the barrier earlier if wanted to.
E ability option #2: Ice Armor applies a shield to an ally or caster themself. Press F(interaction key) to apply it to yourself. It slows the attacker for once if shielded player gets attacked in close range.

Passive Skills:

Frost Echoes: When allies deal unblocked active damage to targets affected by Q skill, gain a 40 hp shield. It doesn't stack. It's good when playing in a team but the shield is very weak. It could be triggered by yourself too so you don't have to play with a team.

Bone Chilling: When the distance between you and the target affected by Q skill exceeds 15 meters, the further the distance the greater the damage dealty by Q skill. At a distance over 25 meters, the damage increase caps at %30. This is very effective with Frostbite Curse, your target takes more damage when they try to flee from fight. You can keep kiting them while the curse is active to make them take more damage.

Cryotherapy: When dealing cold damage, gain stacks of Cryotherapy. Consume all stacks on the next use of E skill to recover 0.5 per life per stack.

Frostbite: The damage dealt by the first phase of Q skill is increased by %50. This works very well with Ice Storm because of its high base damage. It doesn't work that good with Frostbite Curse because its active damage is low without powerful gear that increases cold damage.

Permafrost: Restores 1 soul energy when dealing critical damage.

Basics of Combat:
Elemental Damage(Cold)

Your active and passive skills, orb's projectile attack and melee bonus damage deals cold damage. This damage could be increased by gear stats such as bonus global damage and cold damage modifiers.

Sword/Dagger and Orb Attack

You need a sword or dagger to be able to use an orb. It grants you 3 charges of special ranged cold attack. Holding the LMB will throw an ice projectile which adds cold damage to caster's melee weapon for 20 seconds. You don't have to hit an enemy with projectile to gain the bonus cold damage on your melee attacks, it still grants the buff even if you miss. The projectile applies slow to target. This is very good for slaying monsters quickly when combined with frostbite curse. You shouldn't use your frostbite curse and orb charges too often in case you get caught by another player when you ran out of them. Managing these is critical while playing as a mage.

Sword/Dagger and Orb Block

Hold down the RMB to reduce the incoming damage for %75.

Lightning Staff and Fire Staff

Lightning Staff has a great synergy with thunderclap flask because slowing down the enemy means easy target for Lightning Staff. It deals lots of lightning damage. This works great with this class because of the slowing active abilities. It has 2 charges.

Fire Staff is the best option as main weapon for long fights. It works like a laser beam and deals fire damage constantly. It has 5 charges.
Both Staff are getting charged over time and the required time could be reduced by holding RMB.

Headshot

Hitting your enemy's head will always result in a critical damage. Try to aim for it but don't forget that most blocking stances are specifically protecting the head.

Dodge

You can jump and walk around to prevent getting hit especially by ranged weapons.

Dealing with Shield-wielding Enemies

Shield is held by left hand so try attacking to enemies on their other flank. If they are playing too passive like holding the block button all the time then you can break through their shield by using skills and staff attacks.
Basic Combat for Druid
CANCELLED due to mass player loss. Might be updated in future.
Advanced Combat(flasks)
Craftables
Healing Potion
Heals you 10hp/s for 30 seconds for total of 300hp. You should always drink one before combat so you keep getting healed during it. It could easily determine the winner. It's a MUST to do thing in pvp.

Mana Potion
Restores 10mana/s for 10 seconds for total of 200 mana. It's a MUST to use item for casters/mages.

Incendiary Flask
Creates a burning area that lasts 10 seconds. Anyone who touches the burning ground starts burning for 2.5 seconds, taking damage. It's useful to use this in narrow places such as corner of a room. If your opponent is playing full defensive then you can make them change their strategy by using this. It has a shared cooldown of 20 seconds with other 3 flasks.

Thunderclap Flask
Deals 80 damage and reduces movement speed by %75 for 4 seconds. It stacks with other slowing attacks. This is very popular among mage players because of its combo potential with other wapons and abilities. You can still use it as a melee class to catch the fleeing targets. It has a shared cooldown of 20 seconds with other 3 flasks.

Stoneshaping Flask
Creates 4 stone barrier pieces lasting 10 seconds. It's used for blocking a path so you can make a successful escape or trap your enemy with you. It's also used for protection against ranged enemies. The wall is capable of stopping everything before crumbling down. It has a shared cooldown of 20 seconds with other 3 flasks.

Smokescreen Flask
Creates a smoke cloud lasting 8 seconds. It's usually used by rogues because it lets them backstab the enemy easier. Other than that it's good to throw it right before you run away. It's not very effective though. It could also used for blocking the vision of ranged enemies. It has a shared cooldown of 20 seconds with other 3 flasks.

Flask of Shielding
Grants a shield that absorbs 250 damage of any type for 25 seconds. It's good to use this before a fight if you can. Don't use this if you want to use another throwable flask right away when you join the combat. Makes a great difference in close combat. It has a shared cooldown of 20 seconds with other 3 flasks.

Uncraftables
These potions are useful to use before entering combat. They can be found from chests and mobs.

Regeneration Potion
It could be found in adventures/dungeons from monster corpses and chests. It grants a slow over-time healing which lasts for a game. It's usually 1/2/3 hp/sec healing. Can't stack up with other regeneration potions. Can't be brought outside of that adventure.

Critical Strike Potion
It grants a fair amount of critical strike chance (up to %15) which helps a lot to some classes. It's very powerful for players who have critical strike build. Can't stack up with other critical strike potions. Can't be brought outside of that adventure.

Damage Reduction Potion
It garants a small damage reduction to the user such as %5. It's not a big deal but still don't forget to use it when you obtain since it's not possible to stash it. Can't stack up with other damage reduction potions. Can't be brought outside of that adventure.

Mimic Potion
Turns the user into a chest forever until they jump or get hit. It lets you walk around very slowly. Useful to hide from enemies while trying to run away or ambush them.
Advanced Combat(tricks)
Tricks
Monster Aggro and Setting Up Traps
Going too close to a monster will attract their aggro on you so they will start chasing you. Sometimes monsters change their aggro so you can use this for your advantage in fights. Especially boss monsters are useful for this. You need a certain amount of movement speed to outrun the monster though. Let them chase you until you find another player to fight. Another way of using monster aggro is letting a boss follow you indoors until you trap them in another room than their default one. Boss's indicator on the mini map is static so other players don't know the boss is in another room which grants you a good element of surprise. Start a fight with another player around it and make a fake retreat to that room. Walk pass the boss and leave the room from another door. If your opponent keeps chasing you then turn back and you can just slow them down in that boss room to trap them. They will die pretty fast once the boss starts hitting them. If you have any crowd control skills, use them now. Simple plan of boss trap:

Creating a Decoy Out of Monsters
You need a boss monster AKA elites for this trick. Werewolf and Headsmen are the best ones for it because of their high attack speed. First of all you need to open a door nearby then let the boss chase you until you go back to the door. Closing the door right before boss passes through makes them stuck in there and they keep hitting the door forever. This will make lots of loud hitting sounds so it works as a decoy to attract players.

Door Fighting
Fighting around the doors or narrow passages is effective against ranged enemies. You can also use it to patch yourself up: Opening up doors is slower than closing them so if you go pass through few doors by closing them all then you gain several seconds over your opponent. The doors have to be opened before the fight tough.

Damaged Doors
Some doors(usually large ones) are damaged by default. You can look through them before opening it. You would decide to run away or take a step aside to set an ambush for an incoming enemy.

Listening
It's very critical in this game. You can hear footsteps and clash sounds of your enemies. Especially the hitting sound is very loud. It's easy to track down enemies who are fighting monsters constantly.

Torch and Lighting Areas
Torch is equipped by pressing G button on default settings. It gives free 3 torches but max. stacks is 5. It makes seeing invisible enemies much easier such as ghosts, rogues and elves. Hold LMB to raise it and press RMB to throw a torch. It stays on the ground until taken by a player. You can throw multiple torches around you to fight a sneaky enemy if you are in a dark place. It's sometimes used as a symbol of peace to avoid fighting with another player. Most players attack instantly though. Merchant sells each of them for 25 gold.

You can play the game with high brightness and disable shadows from video settings but doing these might reduce your atmospheric pleasure. Not only you see enemies on distance easier but also detecting invisible enemies becomes much easier this way.

Blessing Shrines
They are shaped like a stone hand holding a colorful light beam so it's easy to spot them. They rotate every match but they are mostly at the same few spots. You need to interact with them by pressing the interact button and then you gain a bonus for several seconds. There are 6 different blessings in the game: attack(red), defense(yellow), speed(light blue), energy/mana(dark blue), health regeneration(green) and resurrection(has a little stone which lets you resurrect your fallen teammates). Using one of these before entering a pvp fight would make a difference. If you are the camper type, you can just sit down next to it without using it for a while until another player shows up.

Static Portals
You can set an ambush near one of them. They are behind a big locked door which unlocks after like 5 minutes into game. Many players tend to use them for extraction so there is a high chance that someone will show up eventually. Putting your back on one of them will let you block the way for your prey and provide you a chance to retreat to lobby if you feel like you are gonna lose the fight.

Call of War
This is an useful way to attract other players(preys) to your location. First of all you need a portal scroll, you can find one by looking at the map. They spawn more and more by the time. It's even better if you have multiple portal scrolls. Find a comfortable place to fight which suits you and drop the portal scroll. It will show up on other players' mini maps. Doing this again and again would attract other blood-hungry players who see the signal. You can also drop multiple portal scrolls in a hall or some other area to gather players in there. Don't forget to leave some space between them so they can see there are multiple.

No Fall Damage
This game doesn't have any fall damage so feel free to jump off everywhere you like just like Kratos from God Of War!

Advanced Combat(counterplay)
We will learn about countering classes in this section of the guide.

Countering the Double Swords
2 one-handed swords have a high attack speed and parry is easy to trigger in this game so just holding RMB(block) with a two-handed sword against an agressive double sword user lets you attack them with much higher damage while absorbing some of the damage they deal. Do not start attacking them before doing 3-4 parry attacks because they might outdamage you since it's a very powerful melee weapon.

Countering the Whirlwind/Whirling Blade
Fighter and Swordmaster classes have AoE melee abilities which deal damage around them. You can simply run away and wait until it's over or approach them to block it with a two-handed sword. Doing this will trigger parry multiple times as long as you keep blocking and attacking. It's high risk high reward move but it's usually enough to kill the swordmaster if they don't have the %50 damage reduction passive for Whirling Blade.

Countering the Cryomancer(Ice Mage)'s Abilities

Countering the Pyromancer(Fire Mage)'s Abilities

Countering the Agile Enemies(Druid & Rogue)

Countering the Melee Attacks

Countering the Sustain(Life steal, Life on Hit, Healing...)

The Victory & Looting
Congratulations! So you had won the battle. Now use a healing potion to regrenate your health and then use bandage(s) to heal at least %75 of your max. health. The rest will get healed by your potion. You could use a shield potion just in case now. Look around in 360 degrees while healing yourself. Wait for a while before looting to see is there any enemy(probably rogue or druid) set an ambush or not. Try to detect any visible and invisible enemies. One might has been watched your fight and waited for it to end so they would kill the injured survivor(YOU). Staying around torches would help you detect nearby invisible enemies. You should stay away from light as an elf and rogue though. You can become invisible yourself until you are totally healed as these classes. If it's a narrow place(such as a room) then close the door(s), position yourself facing the doorway during your healing process. You can even set an ambush by standing behind the door for potential hunters. Once you are fully healed, listen carefully(headphones needed) and make sure there are no nearby fighting and walking step sounds. Finally, you can loot as you like. Don't keep the inventory tab for too long because a silent enemy might get too close if you dive into looting for too long. Try looting as fast as you can or just loot, look around, loot and repeat.
Last Words & Why Guide is Dead
Thank you for reading my guide! Hope it was hepful. You can add it to your favourites, give a like or even give an award if you feel like it.

The guide has been cancelled and will no longer get any updates for 2 reasons:
  1. The recent mass player loss Dungeongborne suffered made it pointless to finish the guide. I'm concerned that the game will shut down in few months. I will start working on it once again if it gains some players in future.
  2. I have been banned for telling a Dungeonborne discord mod to not call devs bunch of cucks. She banned me on Dungeonborne steam community and in game as well so I can't work on the guide anymore as an unwanted player.
GG.

Have a nice day and enjoy showering in the blood of those filthy players!
