描述
Overview:
Boosts underwater speed when using the Removed Deck Gun.
Default: 10% Speed Boost or ~1 knot.

Save game compatible
Also supports the Deck Gun Mount Cover from Realistic VIIC Exterior & Camouflage Skins.

  • Underwater Speed Boost (Default: 10%)
    Percentage increase to underwater speed when the Deckgun is removed.

I measured underwater speeds with and without a gun - I didn't notice any difference

How much speed can be increased by removing deck guns in the original game? Why do I feel like there's no increase in speed?

All Uboat mods are open source by their very nature. The modding system was deliberately built that way.
It's all there in the Source directory. IIRC, I figured it out by looking at the Engine Control mod.
But that was a very long time ago, long before I actually got involved on that mod.
