Change Language (Voices/Cinematics-Interface) - Wolfenstein/Doom - The New Colossus/TOB/TNO/Youngblood
由 Mental-Quake 制作
There are different ways to change the language to the Wolfenstein and Doom video games, whether it's for The New Order, The Old Blood, 2016, The New Colossus, Youngblood and Eternal.

The family of games shares the same type of engine but with variations between them because it has been developed and used by MachineGames, IdSoftware and Arkane Studios, the difference lies in the "Command Line" to write for it to work correctly.

In broad terms:

There are different ways to change the language to the Wolfenstein and Doom video games, whether it's for The New Order, The Old Blood, 2016, The New Colossus, Youngblood and Eternal.

The family of games shares the same type of engine but with variations between them because it has been developed and used by MachineGames, IdSoftware and Arkane Studios, the difference lies in the "Command Line" to write for it to work correctly.

To Change the Audio/Voices and Cinematics/Interface in the game, you must do the following:

The method in question is that in the "Executable" of the Game, be it Wolfenstein The New Order.exe, we "Right Click" on it and create a "Shortcut"/"Direct Access", then again, we "Right Click" on it and We open the "Properties" and in the "Destination" section.

We will write at the end of "WolfTheNewColossus_x64vk.exe" after having added a space and write, "+sys_languages English" or "+sys_languages Spanish" or "+sys_languages French" or "+sys_languages Italian" or "+sys_languages Polish" or "+ sys_languages Russian" depending on the preferred language for Steam, Epic Games and Gog. As well as either in the "Direct Access" or in the "Launch Parameters" of Steam or Gog Galaxy.

If the video game is from the Epic Store, we will write "-epiclocale=es-ES" or "-epiclocale=en-EN" or "-epiclocale=fr-FR" or "-epiclocale=it-IT" or "-epiclocale= pl-PL" or "-epiclocale=ru-Ru", for example. Currently, July 2024, only Wolfenstein The New Order and The Old Blood are available, with neither The New Colossus, nor Youngblood, nor Doom 2016, nor Doom Eternal being available.

In this way we will put the game audio and the interface and cinematics in Spanish, in English, in French or in Italian, in the cases of Polish and Russian, only the Interface will change, the Cinematics and the audio will be in English. Unless you change to Polish or Russian from the console within the game, and in the Shortcut or Parameters, the voices may be in another language, but the cinematics will continue to be in English.

To put the interface, subtitles and interface in the desired language, this will also affect the cinematics.
Inside the game. We press the key combination "Ctrl + º" or "Ctrl"+"º\ª, that is, the key next to 1, above the W, we press the left Control key + the Key to the left of 1, that is say 0. (In this case both New Colossus and Youngblood are activated simply with the º\ª key next to 1).

In this way, the command console will open, in it we will put "sys_lang Spanish" or "sys_lang English" or "sys_lang French" or "sys_lang Italian" or "sys_lang Polish" or "sys_lang Russian" To have the interface, subtitles and Cinematics in the desired language, while you can have the Voice Audio in another language. This will mostly change the interface, it may remain in the main menu with the previous language, but at least more than 50% will be in the language that you have chosen in the command console. It may be necessary to return to the main menu for the changes to take effect or enter the game, but the voices will be in the language chosen in the Shortcut and the Interface will be mostly in the language you have chosen in the commands console.

You can use the command in the console, ListCVars and it will give you the list of available commands, to make them work if they are not allowed you must add CVaradd "the corresponding command line", for example CvarAdd g_showHud -1 to hide the interface in the game, or CvarAdd hands_show -1 to hide the hands in the game, these are the commands from The New Order and The Old Blood, I wouldn't know if they are still the same.

To put in Japanese, it will only be available with subtitles normally. We will write in the Command Console, "Sys_region Ja" and the subtitles will be in Japanese.

For Wolfenstein Youngblood and Wolfenstein II The New Colossus: You must put +sys_languages "Preferred language" so that the audio changes to the chosen option, and later within the game you can change the interface and subtitles with "sys_lang "preferred language"

For Doom and Doom Eternal, the command line to use is "sys_langPlatform "Desired language" " in case the other command lines do not work, from the Wolfenstein video games, there is the command "sys_langMask "Desired language".

In summary:
Changing Audio/Voices in the game must be done in either the "Shortcut" or the "Launch Parameters", because the audio files are too large to be changed instantly within the game, requiring the game starts with said parameter.

From the Game Console you can Change the language of the Interface, this can be done because the weight of the writing is not as great as the audio. Sometimes errors may occur until you restart the map or return to the Main Menu, due to a large amount of writing code for the desired language.

You can "Configure" the Command lines from Users / Your Username / Saved Games / MachineGames / Wolfenstein or Doom / Base / Config or Config.Local

In order to modify the "Configuration" file, we must add ".ini" or "cfg" to it, both work to be able to write command lines inside so that they are executed in the game as soon as the application is started.

The languages normally supported are:

Spanish: Spanish o es o ES o es-ES
Spanish Latam: Spanish_Latam o es_la o ES_LA o es-LA
