This guide aims at helping new (and old) players understand how to play the story of Heroes of Might & Magic VI in correct order. While the story is, at least in my opinion, good and pretty intriguing, it is also complex and divided in specific factions - which somewhat makes sense but considering the timeskips, you can quickly lose sight of things. It is well possible to play the game faction by faction, but I prefer playing in chronological order.

Make sure you have at least one hero aligned to the Blood and one to the Tears path!
Otherwise, you will be unable to see both endings. Once you finished the epilogue, you are in theory done with the story, but should you have the "Shades of Darkness" expansion, you can continue with the Dungeon campaign. :)

Oh, and I usually take Anastasya as "Tears" hero and Anton for "Blood." You'll see why. :) Have fun with the campaign! :D
