Aside from that, loved it so much! Especially the detail in the dilapidated building. Here's my playthru on Merciless Hard: https://youtu.be/f8eQNd45y3g
1. Performance suffers at numerous locations in the map, but for a very short time. Feels like some transition issue but I'm no expert. I mention each part in my video.
2. The button on the Vortigaunt can be pressed multiple times spawning multiple waves.
3. There really needs to be an autosave before that same battle; I died and had to go back quite a bit.
4. The red keycard has to be reused twice. I recommend stashing a separate keycard as most people toss them after using once since they take up a wrist slot.
But I especially like the Combine encounters. Fights are a challenge and much fun.
Also the scripted sequences such as the vort and the scanner increase immersion and bring life into it. They contribute to the whole story.
Was a bit trigger happy and had some amazing ammo sparsity at the end that forced me to get creative.
