From there, it's all about learning. I would personally recommend learning how to parry and dash well; parries refill all health and dashes, dashes give you iframes that let you take no damage from practically every source of damage in the cybergrind.
Parry training is a very long process. Go into sandbox and try to learn how to parry projectiles first, as there are many enemies that shoot a lot. Try parry training vs single targets, like strays. It'll force you to rely on proper timing. You can also use major assists to slow down time and lower the difficulty to make starting the process easier.
Typically melee parrying doesn't play as big of a role and is generally riskier to go for in the cybergrind.
