How to get some steady cash flow early on game and keep at it.
Mostly targeted at solo game play I guess?

Steady flow
It's all about keeping the price now.

Keep the inventory steady, so the price doesn't reset. Put a reasonable 20-30% (listen to grumpy responses) on top of that and keep it. Much faster game pace (solo).

@ImagineWagons
Just use some made up percentage (multiply amount by .XX).
If a product costs 5.00$, and you want to bump it by say 20%, just use calculate it like that 5.00 * 1.20 = 6.00

Experiment and listen for feedback from customers to find the sweet spot.

I never know how far I can ramp up the prices. Normally I add 10 or 20 cents to an items price.

@Fusedglobe
Isn't it the bulk price of potato chips (19.20) and then you get retail price per 1 item?
Fusedglobe 2024 年 8 月 20 日 下午 2:46

Highly recommend just being level 1 store and only having level 1 items for as long as humanly possible. This means you can have expensive lower priced items and the higher store level / amount of items you get, the harder it becomes, solo play, to be able to keep up with the demand. Also, the auto-check out things are a LIFESAVER, highly recommend getting a few of those when you can. Just stay low levels, and build up thousands of dollars, as close 10k as you can manage, before leveling up / expanding store size.

If you set all the prices to multiples of 5 (1.25 instead of 1.24 for ex) it makes checking people out much faster because you don't have to deal with pennies and on credit cards you often don't have any change or only the first decimal

Agreed, but you close/restock/open because the game is designed for MP in place. If you didn't close it, the "circle" would be incomplete and you'd run out of something at one point.

In the begining stages I would try to keep my game level low and stock up on inventory... sell all the items close the store, and restock, open again, sell all, close, restock.... not until I had a surplus of cash did I upgrade the level. Once you upgrade you need to have more room for new inventory that gets opened for use.

then once the money is enough to increase the store size I would do that as well
