Enable the console

Let's get to this. In your library find VtM: Bloodlines, right click it. Select properties.

Under the general tab you'll see the "Set launch options" button.

Press it and add -console to the dialogue that appears. Now you can press enter and close the properties window. Launch the game and presto, you'll be able to launch the console with the tilde (~) key.

Sidenote: -novid doesn't seem to work for me so that probably means the intro vids are unskippable

Launch the game

This step is easy, however some might argue sitting through the intro videos or pressing escape is too hard.

Regardless, once the intros are done you'll be greeted by your new friend. Say hello to the console. Warning, you now have the potential to break the game. As a precaution I'd say make backups, but I'm sure you know that already.

A few commands

I'm only going to post a few commands here, but there is a nice list at the games wiki:link[vtmb.wikia.com]

cmdlist Obvious, but consider it the same as the help command in "DOS"

Blood This command will fill the player's blood meter about 75% full, but setting a number will fill it that amount.

giftxp [#] Provide a number with this command and you'll gain the specified amount of XP.

God Godmode, need I say more?

Impulse 101 All weapons, ammo, and clothing.

Notarget Become invisible to everyone

quit Quit the game

There are more commands on the wiki, which include item spawning, increasing your money, stat bonuses and then some.

Also you can increase your fov with this command: Fov 120 (for example)

Any update for 2021? All we have now under properties is launch options and when i put -console and launch the game it just crashes :/

also are you using the unoffical patch rayneenights ? That might help...Never had any of those issues. Its pretty funny to use no clip but be careful with it. It can miss trigger evens.

google search console commands, easy to find noclip...forget what it is atm. If it freezes just open character menu then return to game. Should unfreeze it.

I have the problem with console that it sometimes freezes my computer. But not always. I really need the noclip cheat or I will be stuck in Hollowbrook Hotel for good. When I was in the warrens, one of those creatures that shoots gooey hit me with it. Ever since that happened my protagonist has moved in slow motion. I've been hit before but it hasn't ever lasted this long. Because of that I can't crouch and jump. It is driving me crazy. If just the noclip wouldn't freeze me up, at least I could get of out Hollowbrook. I just have the mini-boss and Andrei left. I'm really nervous about Griffith Park now. With this slow mo problem, I can't see how I could make it without god mode and noclip. If it hasn't happened to you too, then you have no idea how annoying it is. If I had known the effect would be lasting when I was still in the warrens, I probably had opt out for replaying that part from the start and not getting hit with that goo again.

I have the same problem as windgift with the "give item_m_" command. Game says "Inventory full, item dropped." Is there something I'm missing?

@Santos Cruz Hi, when I attemped to use the "give item_m_" command, redardless of which(clip/envelop/wallet) I choose, game allways shows "inventory full, item dropped" and nothing actually drop on the gorund(and of course money didn't add). That confused me.
