"> To record a flicker without dying:

1) Wait until you hear the sound of it about to spawn, and hit R to to into selfie mode.
2) Look around until you see the red light behind you
3) Position yourself so the flicker is in view, and your back is against it
4) Record it until it goes away
5) Done :D

This does not deal any damage to the recorder, so perfect for a solo run, as the flicker does massive views.
