Thanks for the tips, I appreciate it :-) But I'm not a speedrunner so I'm not gonna devote any more of my time to this. I've beaten the challenge time and I'm content with that. I'd rather play other games in my ever-growing library :-D

Congrats! Once you hit this point, I recommend looking online for some of the speedrun tricks. Some of them are quite doable with practice, without devoting your life to it.
