Eight Quick Tips and Tricks for Beginners
由 Murphy's Lawyer 制作
Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes is a fun little game. However, there isn’t very much information about the game on the internet, so you may find yourself wondering if you are making the right decisions as you play through— and nobody wants to get stuck late in an RPG with an underpowered party. So I wanted to make a quick list of "Tips and Tricks" for anyone who wants to play this so they can have some confidence they are making good decisions as they play through.

Eight Quick Tips and Tricks
1. There are many partially hidden items on each map in the game including in the town. Things like potions and small amounts of coins. The items will give off a little sparkling effect; some will be pretty noticeable so you can learn what the sparkles look like, and then you can know what to look out for so you can find some of the more well-hidden ones.

2. Be sure to explore each map for all chests and items and kill every enemy to get all the experience you can. If you rush through you may be underpowered later on especially on a higher difficulty.

3. Items buy and sell for a static value—that is: vendors will buy back items from you for exactly what they sell it for (unlike most RPGs where you get ripped off). So don’t worry about buying a new sword for a character just to find it in a chest on the next level, you can sell the extra one back for exactly what you paid for it and then get something else.

4. There are a small amount of items called “Elixirs” with various effects (i.e.: attack +1, mana +1, etc.). These effects are permanent. The potion seller in town has a limited amount of these and you will probably want to buy all the ones he has by the end of the game and be sure to use them. You will also find some on the mission maps.

5. You can talk to your party members in town. You should do so for all after each mission to hear what they have to say just to enjoy the game. But most importantly once you get Rukel, talk to him after each mission and you can coerce him into giving up an item he stole during said mission. Save before talking to him each time, because if you say the wrong thing then you can’t get the item— if that happens, then reload and try saying something else. He won’t have something every single time, but he had an item for me after around four or five missions.

6. If you are playing on a higher difficulty be sure to find the green Mushrooms. They can help you get out of a sticky situation late game without having to resort to loading a previous save.

7. There are 6 save slots plus an auto-save and a quick-save. Keep one save file to use at the start of each battle, in case you make an error in tactics so you can reload the start of the battle and don’t get stuck.

8. “Save-scumming” works. Simply reloading any save resets the random numbers and resets the chances of outcomes. If you play on hard, this can help you avoid frustration if you don’t want to start a long battle over.
