To get the black profile background, you need 2 hours of playtime on the game and then just buy it from the steam points shop. So AFKing is the way if you don't want anything else. Otherwise you can follow this guide to get all the achievements.

The easiest method would obviously be to download the Steam Achievement Manager app from GitHub[github.com] or you an auto-play script if you hate SAM.



If you wish to have your life easier and get the achievements fast, then get this auto-play script from google drive.
It should not be againts any rules, since there are non in the game, but still be careful while using it.



1. Download this file and extract it

2. Once you're done extracting, open the folder, open Waveshaper, press play on the difficulty you wish to get achievements for and right after that run the waveshaper.exe file in the extracted folder, and go back into the game and it should play by itself.

Just get good or let the game auto-play. Simple as that.
You will need a total of 5000 score across all difficulties and 420 score on normal difficulty and a score of 260 on hard difficulty. You should also get the 160 streak on normal and 100 streak on hard by then.

You should get those while getting the score achievements. The higher score you have in a run the faster you will get them if you still don't have them.

You should receive this after you complete your first run.

For the "COMEBACK" achievements, just tab out of the game (while having the waveshaper.exe file running), wait till you lose 2 lives and then tab back in so it can recharge your lives.
If you're not using the script, just take 3 hits on the start and then get them back by normally hitting the sprites, which regenerates health.
You need to do that a total of 6 times on both normal and hard difficulty.

Press the screenshot button for steam (default F12) and take a screenshot while playing Waveshaper. Can be done in lobby.

Start a run and don't do anything. Once you die, you'll earn this achievement

Start a run 30 times.

In the main menu press on PLAY GAME -> HOW TO PLAY

Navigate to OPTIONS -> CONTROLS and you should get it. If not, then change one of the controls and reset it back for the auto-play thingie to work if you still need to get the other achievements.

In the main menu press on OPTIONS -> CUSTOM FILES -> and toggle "CUSTOM SPRITES" on if that doesn't give you the achievements, then you need to actually add the sprites.

1. Locate your game installation folder
(DEFAULT: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WAVESHAPER).

2. paste the "Sprites" folder from your extracted folder into it.

3. After that, launch the game and again go to OPTIONS -> CUSTOM FILES -> and toggle "CUSTOM SPRITES" on
Make sure to toggle the setting back off if you want the play the game afterwards.

For this achievement you need to have the best score among your friends and it need to be at least 4 friends.
You may also need to open the leaderboards section in-game for it to get registered.
