Firstly, I love the setting and the sandstorm mechanic. I love daytime maps with unique settings, instead of concrete jungles at night.
The biggest issue is that you don't get to experience the place at its strongest because most of the campaign takes place indoors. If you were to ever rework this campaign (You've only just updated it so I expect nothing there), start off within the town, folks wandering in from outta town kinda style, to show off the sandstorm mechanic, then venture into the mines.
I did love that you can push the mineshafts. Brought back memories of Half-Life.
Lastly, the finale is very cramped. I don't know if that was supposed to be the idea, but perhaps the cramped space could be replaced with a harsher sandstorm. Lack of vision, but still freedom of movement, which would especially be handy with the double tanks.
I'll give it a 6.5/10
