SJVR EMD GP38-2s

The EMD GP38-2 is an American four-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors, Electro-Motive Division. Part of the EMD Dash 2 line, the GP38-2 was an upgraded version of the earlier GP38.
Power is provided by an EMD 645E 16-cylinder engine, which generates 2,000 horsepower (1.5 MW).

A little history about the San Joaquin Valley Railroad(SJVR), Formed in 1992, it operated several ex-Southern Pacific branch lines around Bakersfield, CA. From 1992 to 1997 it was owned by Kyle Railways,
in 1997, Kyle Railways was sold to States Rail, in 2002 States Rail was purchased by RailAmerica, and then finally in 2012, Genesee and Wyoming aquired RailAmerica.
