pufferfish joins rivals of aether for vengeance following april fools day of 2021...

pufferfish can hit the tippers and sweetspots on his trusty carrot to break a piece off, which he can eat for a short-term buff! the buff will
- heavily improve your wavedash and decrease your ground friction
- restore your jumps
- slightly increase your air speed and air control
- slightly increase your ground speed
watch out though, getting hit will decrease the time remaining for the buff and do slightly extra damage!

some of pufferfish's moves will inflict a poison status effect that does DoT. using the tippers and sweetspots on opponents with the poison effect will consume it and give you a special carrot piece with a longer lasting buff



down special - carrot breaker
pufferfish winds up his carrot for a strong attack. you can hit shield while charging the move to store whatever charge you have built up (this will automatically happen at full charge), and release the special button for an attack with a strong sweetspot! the more the move is charged, the stronger the sweetspot gets

neutral special - puffer chomp
pufferfish opens wide for a snack. this move can be held and will eat players into a spinning toxic spit, or can be used to eat projectiles to activate the carrot buff! you can hold left or right during the startup of the spin to pick a direction if you aren't already facing that way

forward special - poison bubble
pufferfish slaps a poison bubble that is definitely not based on one from a certain snes game forwards with his tail, and it floats forwards in a sinewave motion. this move can slightly stall you in the air if you're falling

up special - here, catch :D
pufferfish gets tossed into the air by a pair of mysterious hands and comes crashing down! you can hit the shield button while falling to cancel the fall and do a small hop
