Huddersfield Line - Upgrade

Beskrivning
This is an upgraded version of the Huddersfield Line: Manchester to Leeds route. It aims at improving on the technical aspects of the route, from smoothed-out curves to the signalling and night lighting, as well as providing more track markers for scenario writers.

The infrastructure is depicted as it was around 2018/2019, thus the sharp curve at Miles Platting as well as some of the older-style colour light signals have been retained. The section between Manchester and Stalybridge has not yet been electrified, Ashton Moss North Junction however has already been remodelled.

The original scenery remains largely untouched, however some key changes have been made. Heaton Lodge Junction has been brought much closer to real life. Some scenery on the Manchester end of the line has has been improved as well, most notably around Newton Heath Depot. At the Leeds end, some more distant scenery now covers previously barren hills. Night lighting effects have been completely reworked along the whole length of the route.

The upgrade comes with a few simple Quick Drive options, these however do not include any AI trains.

Only requirement for this upgrade to work is the original 'Huddersfield Line: Manchester to Leeds Route Add-On'.

Changes to the original route provided through Armstrong Powerhouse's Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0, Track Enhancement Pack, Signal Enhancement Pack and/or Vegetation Enhancement Pack will automatically apply to this upgraded version as well.

Please note that scenarios created for the original version of the route will not work on this upgraded version. This is due to whole sections of track having been redone and track markers altered - the game would not have any way of knowing where trains were placed and where they were supposed to go. Any scenario would have to be rebuilt from scratch if it was to be 'ported' over to this upgraded version of the route.

@ FenderBender: Thank you! As far as I'm aware, there are no tutorials for this kind of track laying/maintenance. The only way to smooth out curves is to re-lay the track from scratch using easements for superelevation.
I'd suggest to first fly along the section of route in question and determine where to start re-laying and where to finish (and in which direction to do it). Always document the gradient profile of the original section before deleting it!
Try to avoid situations where you'd have to join up a superelevated curve from different directions - if there's no other way, do it like this: bring the tracks from both directions into the middle as closely to one another as possible, then deactivate 'easements' before linking both sections up with a third piece of track. Pay close attention to the differences in curve radius between the 'bridge' and adjoining pieces of track for a smooth ride.
I hope that helps!

You've done a brilliant job on the tracks, smoothing out some ridiculous curve-straight-curve sections. Thanks for sharing!
I'm trying to learn how to do the same thing on another couple of routes I've purchased recently. Can you give any advice on where to look for tutorials on 'track maintenance' please? Particularly on how to do the smoothing of the curves, and especially when the two ends of the curve are on different levels! Any guidance would be massivley appreciated. Thanks. :steamhappy:

Brilliant work. I thoroughly enjoyed the run with the Scenario you created for this.
Just after Mossley there is a section of track that causing a speeding penalty as apparently it's 15mph. it's literally only a little secion which isn't even coming up on the Hud to say it's 15mph. other than that fantastic job.
