TWW has always used 8th Edition models and artwork as reference material, and usually down to the smallest details. There is, in fact, no better introduction to the setting than TWW precisely for this reason, imo.
It used that warhammer directly took actual suits of armours and weapons and just pasted them in theirs fictions.
Deformed armors and weapons were mostly only for chaos.
Now everything is deformed.
Which just annihilate the main point of this fictions and make everyone into degenerate who whorships chaos through theirs gears and clothing style.
