• Run the old version first and then the new one.
  
  
• Disable or add to black list game for programs with overlays. For me it was FPSMonitor.
  Maybe: NvidiaOverlay, MSI Afterburner, Aida64, FRAPS, bandicam or other programs. Try to disable them all. Big chance of solution. This helped me.
  
  
• Start old version and reset all data -> "Settings - Reset All Data". WARNING: this will reset all your steam achievements. Very little chance of solving the problem. Didn't help me.
