[B41/B42] Compost From Vegetation

描述
[B42] Grass cuttings and wood can be processed into compostable material. Providing a more accessible source of compost for your crops.

[B41] Removing grass yields vegetation which can rot and be used for compost, along with twigs and scrap wood. The harvesting of vegetation from grass does not work in multiplayer but the twigs and scrap wood will still be able to rot and can be used for compost.

All the new compostable items take 14 days to rot and and another 7 to turn into compost.

in real life me and my famaly use so much you would never assume to be in a composter. you can turn so much in there and get good stuff after a long time. crazy this needs to be a mod tho. thanks man.

Hey @FishLord so this mod add new recourse: grass clipping and wood chips which can rot?
Do u need to add water in composter?

Thanks for the mod, now I can finally have compost at the start! But since I use Grass Cuttings, and I need to process thousands of them one by one into Grass Clippings to fill my composters, that takes two or three ingame days. Would it be possible to decrease the time, or rather turn 10 or 20 or 50 Grass Cuttings into Clippings Pile at once, with a new recipe?

Great mod! Love the idea of using more things to compost. One suggestion: when we create woodchips from items, can that grant Carving xp?

Thanks much, yeah that can be an issue if you change base items. ive always opted for custom items personally though I do sometimes just reuse icon assets..but again thanks for that really helps with my low loot play through.

I wasn't able to find any way to fix the rotten twigs issue so I've reworked the B42 version of the mod to no longer allow them and grass cuttings to rot. Instead they now need to be crafted into wood chips or grass clippings which can rot and be turned into compost. Hopefully this makes the mod less intrusive overall and won't prevent you from being able to get fresh twigs.

might want to fix the twig rotten issue (or remove twigs entirely) as there are other mods that use base twig item for crafting and no can no longer craft since the base item was changed.

Can you make it so manure can be used for compost as well. Also irl they add dirt into composts detrivore type insects (worms, springtails, potato bugs/roly polies) to do the actual composting.

Yeah sorry I'm not sure what causes that, it doesn't have much effect on the game though you can still use twigs as normal so I didn't make it a high priority to fix it.
