West Slavs: Sclavinia's Heritage — 1.18

Beskrivning
From the creator of "Rebirth of the Bastard" to HoI4...
Have you ever heard of Sclavinia? The Fourth Daughter of the Holy Roman Empire. No? Not surprising...

The mod focuses on the year 867 — more precisely, on rework the Western Slavic (Polish, Pomeranian, Polabian) tribes, as well as the entire Western Slavic region itself (with an emphasis on the Lechites) — particularly through the reorganization of empires in the region, which, while bad before, became even worse after an update a few years ago; and by adding minor historical-flavour events. You can also play the mod in 1066, but the content there is somewhat limited.

The mod gives the player several game goals:
  • For the Western Slavs, the goal is to unite their lands under the banner of Sclavinia (or the Orthodox Sklabonia) to save their people from the oppression of neighboring states.
  • For pre-feudal Poles, the goal is to establish their own kingdom (with various coats of arms and names) and to make a decision about the religious (Christian?) future of the state — includes two storylines, Roman Catholic and Orthodox.
  • For the Kings of Poland, the goal is to reform the realm and resolve conflicts with neighboring Ruthenians, Lithuanians, or Pomeranians... naturally through conquest.
Will you make it?

List of changes and additions:
  • Reorganization of part of the Lechitic tribes (territorial changes, new rulers, etc.) for the years 867 and 1066.
  • Lechitic tribes have new dynasty and house coats of arms, as well as pre-feudal names that transform into more noble forms upon feudalization.
  • Cultural naming conventions for titles (tiers) for Western Slavs.
  • Names for hybrid cultures and newly created ones based on Polish culture.
  • New decisions after the formation of the Kingdom of Poland regarding the establishment of historical voivodeships and provinces of the First Republic of Poland.
  • Historical and narrative events triggered after major gameplay milestones (formation of the Kingdom of Poland, running mod-specific decisions, etc.).
  • Polish names for titles and settlements across Eastern Slavia.
  • Reworked cultural traditions for Lechitic cultures.
  • New 867 start date bookmark.
  • A small narrative storyline in 867 for choosing Orthodoxy after forming the Kingdom of Poland (including acquiring the Płock Diadem as an actual crown).
  • A bit bigger narrative storyline for every starting date for choosing Roman Catholicism for the king of Poland.
  • Title reorganization:
  • The Cherven Grods are de jure part of Poland. In 867, they also include Lublin and Stężyca and are named Lendania, reflecting the Lendians.
  • Creation of the Kingdom of Polabia from German and Pomeranian territories. The western border is based on the Limes Sorbicae and Saxoniae. The duchies within this kingdom were adjusted accordingly. The kingdom appears in both 867 and 1066.
  • Creation of the Empire of Lechia, composed of Poland, Pomerania, and Polabia. Changes of the colours of said kingdoms.
  • Creation of the Kingdoms of Prussia and Lethia from Lithuanian territories. These three kingdoms form the Empire of Baltia.
  • Creation of the Kingdom of Transdanubia from Hungarian territories in 867. Adjustments of duchies and creating new one (of Székesfehérvár) within this kingdom.
  • Creation of the Duchy of Hont from Nitra territories. In 867, part of Great Moravia; in 1066, part of Hungary. Adjustments to these two duchies.
  • Creation of the Empire of Samonia, composed of Great Moravia, Transdanubia, and Bohemia (exists only in 867).
  • Ability to form the Empire of Sclavinia, which in 867 consists of the above-mentioned kingdoms plus Carinthia (created after uniting the Western Slavs); while in 1066 it consists of the Lechitic kingdoms, Bohemia, and Nitra (also created afterwards). Depending on which nation unites the Western Slavs, Sklavinia's map color, coat of arms, and capital city will change.
  • Uniting the Western Slavs renames Slavia to Omnisclavinia (All-Slavdom; essentially, Slavia should have been named Sclavinia anyway).
  • Moving the Kingdoms of Bjarmaland and Vladimir under the Empire of Volga-Ural for both 867 and 1066, so Slavia and Russia are no longer simultaneously on the map.
  • In 867, Lubusz is de jure part of Polabia and Chełmno is de jure part of Poland.
  • Probably more, but that's all I remembered.

Compatibility
The mod won't be compatible with every mod, as it partially edits existing files (history of Polish, Pomeranian, and Polabian characters, title histories of Poland and Galicia-Volhynia, decisions for uniting Slavs, etc.). However, I tried to code it as non-invasively as possible.

Plans:
  • A historical-flavour storyline about the encounter between the Poles and Hungarians.
  • More coats of arms for eastern counties that can become de jure part of the Kingdom of Poland.
  • The same kingdom formation mechanic for Pomerania and Polabia as currently exists for Poland (establishment of a capital and kingdom renaming).
  • A submod that shifts baronies to better match historical voivodeship borders.
  • Bookmark for 1066.
  • Cultural tradition reworks for Czechs, Slovaks, and Carantanians.
  • Pagan Update: addition of a pre-Christian background for Western Slavs (e.g. proto-Lechitic culture) and greater emphasis on the decision to unite all Slavs along with reclaiming "indigenous" lands.
  • Polabian and Polish names for all Polabian de jure titles (not all are localized by default), likewise for Pomerania.

I started fixing the mod. Functionality of the mod was restorted, now I only have to rewrite the entire Roman Catholic storyline to use hegemonies properly in places of current solution (of creating huge de jure kingdoms). I don't promise anything, but the mod can appear updated this Sunday

Checking the mod out at newest game version, I don't get the "update" pop-up that usually would come after starting the new run, and while after creating kingdom of Poland I can take voivodeship decision, no new ones decisions are available (to create the three kingdoms or transfer them directly to Poland). Same for the decision to either convert or stay pagan. Waiting for update patiently, love your works

It's damn ironic that the mod is like 2 main updates behind... Sadly, that's how it goes, when you don't study, but work lol. I'll do my best, but free time is not on my side. I should be able to finish the at least game version update by end of the year/beginning of next one. I hope I will update the mod among with the balancing of stuff of the previous RC update.

I will let know in a few hours if the mod is playable, but honestly don't think so. It looked like decisions don't trigger events anymore, and there may be problems with nodded decisions that circle around RE (HRE/ERE too).
