If you are like me and want a plane fast but isn't T5 yet, you probably are impatient. However, I have made an quick and affordable alternative until you get T5. I have made a Non-aerofoil plane. All you need is:
9-10 blocks
1 Heavy Chassis block (Optional )
12 Thrusters
1 Pilot seat (duh!)
Any type of gun
Here is a picture of it:

Now that you have prepared the needed blocks, place the T1-10 cubes in a T shape with 3 across and 5 forward. Then add the Heavy Chassis block at the end. Like this:Then, put a block below the 4th block out.

Now it is time to add the thrusters. Place them like so:

Now, add the pilot seat.

You might think that you are done, but you need a weapon(s). I prefer a railgun. I usually place it on the top or the bottom. I sometimes do both. Here's what the finished product should look like. Feel free to customise however you want.

Now that you have made your makeshift plane, you must be aware that this is incredibly hard to master. Happy flying! =D
