The tutorial at the beginning is helpful; but here are some things I had to play with to find out. Thought it might be useful for others just starting.

- The shift for running only seems to work on the left side of the keyboard (by the WASD)
- Tab will cancel an action
- Giving money to the homeless will give a small boost to your prestige

- To place large/standalone furniture, hit E/Left mouse click
- To place small/on tabletop furniture, hit E on a table/counter then select the item you want to display
--Large furniture will be classified as "furniture", small ones will be "placeable"

- You can cycle through your inventory by hitting F1/F2/F3/F4
- Using the bus is very helpful to start, but be careful since it costs money. If you need quick money - once you unlock the job app - you can schedule some quick jobs for quick cash.

- Cars hurt when you get hit, don't do it.
- Coffee is an excellent and cheap mood-booster until you're able to do other things for fun
- Benches and porta-potties are your best friends while you wander on foot

To add, you can increase your credit card by going to the setting -> inventory. To pay rent same thing setting -> housing and extend your lease, you can see the hours on top.

There's no difference between going to work on time or mid way in. I tested and there's no penalty. So if your waiter job is 4-11PM. I would go in 6-8 PM take the extra time to up your skills or fix your needs.

If you don't have money to buy instruments, for a couple of hundred P you can go to the bookstore and get the skill book. Bookstore is located one block down from "Park of Monuments". But as soon as you have enough credit (easy to get with prestige pts) just buy the instruments because if you have the trait/dream it's an easy clear. Pixjob always has people looking for creatives.
