Overview of Guide

Hello Everyone,

This Guide is about how to pass the first couple of years in True Tycoon difficulty and how than stabilize after that time period.

As you can see in this pic:


The year is 1919 and life is good!

So lets start from the begining and see how i got here
Starting Actions - upgrades and ordering
Starting Actions

After you start the game, the next few moves is super super important in order to survive, you don't have enough money to last for over a year(you lose around 90K per month and you start with 900K)

So you need to make money fast. but wow this is hard in this difficulty, on the first contact the tank offers from the competition will be from 720-770 (around) so you have zero change to win or making money.

So first moves are as follows:
  • Upgrade your R&D - you should build these 4 upgrades:
    • Ergonomic office - you need to research faster, much faster, so you need more people on board on this
    • Structure Lab - the longest of time to research, kinda obvious.
    • Firepower Lab - gives you the power you need at start to have a bit of an edge
    • Innovation Division- You going to research two alloy and building method early (Bolt + FSA
      steel) - so you need the extra time to make sure you will have enough rank
  • upgrade Factory - add the Sub-Assembly Line - DO NOT ADD MORE WORKERS AND DO NOT FIRE THEM you get only around 30 per month, so you need to hire more quickly before you start producing, so it isn't worth the trouble
  • add materials - I buy everything that you can from Africa, the best cost effective you can this early and overall (glass included
Reserach order
So after you set the factory up, you do the following research, step by step.


This will give you 48 days of R&D time, enough for your 3 none ergonomics build to finish.
Than you go for:

This is where the innovation division will worth it waight in GOLD! you will save 18 days by having it here.

While you do your next research, in the Engineering, start making the best male turret and Mark 1 you can.

Your next research is in this order in the firepower


Why this order? because in the expendables you can use more than 1 type of ammo and shells, this way you can get more points for free.

When you finish the second research here, save your game! you might need to go back to it later.
than start 3, save again (different save) and than 4.
Desgin your first Tank
Here is where it gets tricky.

If you had some luck you will be able to create your first tank for contract no.2 with all the research you did, if not, you will need to go to an older save and than make it with what you have.

Meaning, that you might need to lower your requested amount from the contract, even if you make 1k, you need every cent you got now.

You probably also need to take out a loan by now, do so when you already in the negative amount of money (you will be by this time) and spread it for as much time as you can(5 years when i wrote this guide)

So this is my first tank i managed for the number 2 contract:

And most importantly - this expendables:


as you can see, i use all the slots there in the expendables, without them, i would lose so so much money

design the tank with 30 engineers, even if it means lower your R&D stuff for the next research (DON'T GET MORE ENGINEERS!)

5 days before you finish the design, invite the Admin and hire more workers(60),unless it too close to end of month(1-2 days at most, you can't lose more time than that you want to build
those tanks ASAP!) because you will use the faster delivery in order to win the contract.

make sure to time it as much as possible in order to win the first contract. and after that create another 30 (the most the first few contract allows)
Won the first (2nd) contract, now what?
Well. from here you need to be ready for the 3rd contract, and what does it mean?

Produce another 30 tanks of the first tank you designed, using materials you bought from Africa.

But only do so 1 time (2 times at most if you already sold you first 30, this is just for surviving, not thriving), because from there you going to do the next research in order to win the next contract (number 4) with much more profit margin.


Kick it off right after you finish the first round of research this gives you so much points that is crazy, using this this is how i made my second Mark 1 components


After that, we going for more fire power, why, simple, with it you can got another more than 80 points!
so how i do it?


you can design your tank right away after finishing 2, but you can wait for 4 also (the AP gives more points than the tracer so it good replacement)

so you next tank will be looking like this:


211!!!! points more than the one we just had.
this will sky rocket you from around 700 points, to 960 points, now you can make real money, produce 30 again (the max amount you can send using the cheapest way of sending tanks that costs 650)

and wait for contract while keep on researching.
i will suggest to go for the whippet tracks, and than octane 47 to finish the first layer of mobility. and than rush the firepower all the way.

I would suggest that you demolish the innovation division and get material division instead while you do, it will save you around 40 days (that a big number) and after finishing firepower demolish the firepower lab and get mobility lab.

stricture is the last thing you finish because it takes so long to finish!
I got my first 2 Mil, now what?
well that's a great question.

don't overstretch it, first of all you must understand, that you fighting against competition that will make tanks with 1100+ rank, you won't have the easy life you had in previous difficulties. but you will have the ability to compete with them tow for tow if you are smart.

i make upgrade for the lobbing on the administrator building - trying to get more contracts from outside GB.

Also , start upgrade the factory and warehouse, this is how i like my warehouse upgrades.


And my administrator building upgrades:


this will give you the best bang for your buck, and you must be min maxing all the time.

in my run the fusillade tank were more common than others so i make this whippet to win them over.


And when i got the right trophy i made this tank.


This gave me more than 300 points of boost, and more than 4.5K to the price of the tank, mega worth it.
Final words
After you managed to make to have steady income, 30 tanks each from your best tanks. you can start real money (it is 1919 and i have 10 mil in the bank as i said)

from here, it is up to you how to play this, how to use it, and make sure that no matter what, don't sell to the German Empire :P
