now with 1km (marked by slightly thicker line and dots) and 500m grid

Grade length calculation stuff

You need rise what is the difference between two points on the map
Eg Spawn and Gold smelter 154.1-43= rise of 111.1m
Run= 111.1*100/1.5 (1.5 being the grade % desired) so run is 7406.67m
grade length = √rise*rise+run*run, what should be 7407.50m

the huge flats do undulate a little. you may be adding 2 percent here and there.

Thanks for this! That iron works number (5.4m) looks off though. It appears to be at a similar elevation to the iron smelter in the game. Is there perhaps a missing digit?

Thank you very much for the work you've done on this. Will help planning routes. Do we know yet what the dimensions of the map are? Might help figuring out the distances between points.

The height differences on this map really are excessive. 70m difference between the logging camp and sawmill is mad to start out with.
