FWIW... i began playing this game years ago... but not regularly enough to get any good at it. So now that i have the time, i'm finally attempting to get beyond 1561-Decemeber and see how well i can play this. So i am still reading all of these articles/guides... and i have half a mind to try to collate them all into a personal guide at least for myself. i love this game - the simplicity (in some sense) combined with the complexity (in other senses). So, yes, to those who wonder if anyone is still playing this game in 2023-November.... the answer is YES!

Unsure if there is still new players on this game, but just so you know the trade route from St. Thome - Cat Island (first one) is the best one, was able to get 500k in less than some months or so
I don't get too much into these trading stuff so I don't know 100% about it, of course it's because of the commodities that you buy from each city but that's as far as I know lol.

Of course it will depend on the date and so on, but in general I think that is the best one. Under profit obviously.

I've just recently picked up the game and am trying to understand the underlying concepts better can you explain why these are such good routes?
