Enhanced Trains

Welcome to Enhanced Trains: The new and improved version of my original mod called "Realistic Train Lengths." This train mod is the most realistic train mod available for ATS, made by an actual railfan who possesses railroad knowledge. This mod changes train lengths to be more realistic, some trains will be short, and others will be long. To go along with these trains, several new lore friendly (and a few fictional things of my own as there's not too many brands in ATS that work on trains) liveries are included for the railcars. Up to 2 trains can now spawn at one time, allowing for meets and such. This mod is also designed to be used in conjunction with Drive Safely's amazing sound fixes mod. More detailed information below:

AC4400CW - Max. 60 cars, min. around 30
SD40-2 - Max. of around 30, Min. 5 cars (one train is 50 max)
P42DC - Max 11, Min. 4 cars
MP36PH - 3 cars for New Mexico Railrunner, 4 for Utah Frontrunner
LOD updates for all Light rail, passenger/freightcars, and all locomotives.

Freight train types are as follows:

SD40-2:
-Various short and Long mixed freights
-Gravel Train
-Gondola Train
-Grain train
-Lumber train
-Log Train
-Autorack Train
-Trailer Train
-Intermodal Train
-Tank train (white tanks)

AC4400CW (these are longer):
-Various mixed freights
-Coal Train
-Grain Train
-Gravel train
-Mixed gravel train
-Autorack Train
-Intermodal Train
-Trailer train

New liveries included with mod (see images above for some examples):

Gravel hopper: American Lines (blue), GARC (Red), NAMIQ (Black and Yellow), GATX (Green)
Grain hopper: American Lines (grey), GARC (red), Generic green (no road atm)
Boxcar: American Lines (blue), GARC (red), MAXX (Green), RXXB (Yellow)
Tank car: White, Black/white
Wellcar: GARC (red)
Gondola: American Lines (blue), GARC (black)
TOFC flatcar: DXXT (Yellow)

This mod also replaces a lot of the unrealistically colored prop railcars with realistic colors. No more green tank cars, blue wellcars or red coal gondolas. That has all been edited to be more realistic, and uses the liveries mentioned above. The SD40-2 has also had the red part of the nose removed inplace of a white color purely because I think it looks nicer. This original livery can still be seen ingame on some prop SD40-2s though.

Container Liveries include:

Walbert Blue (Replaces American Lines)
AMF (Replaces bushnell)
INTRAX (Replaces Namiq)
LF (Replaces Oakland Port, this is a placeholder until I come up with something better looking)
Posted (Now orange/black instead of white)
Krapea (from GTA 5, Replaces Railexport)
EliMax (replaces Sell Goods)
PDX freight (Replaces sunshine crops)
Chemso, Charged and Walbert remain unchanged.

One thing to note. As much as real life Freight trains pulled by AC44s typically end up being 100 cars, I have limited them to 50-60 cars as stated. This is mainly due to the games scale not being 1:1, thus 100 car trains look out of place in a lot of areas.

WARNING: Trains in the City of Olympia and The boeing Plant at everett will block crossings. I dont know why this mod affects the boeing trains as they are not in the normal config file. A work around is forcing the game to reload traffic. Open up the dev console, type "G_traffic 0" and then "G_Traffic 1" after traffic despawns. Its not Ideal I know, but there is nothing I can do to fix this. So for now I'd stay out of Olympia and Everett's boeing plant.

FAQ:
"Can you update for version 1.XX?" - This mod is not versioon locked and will work on whatever current version. Please do not ask about this.
"Where are the real liveries?" - At some point I will make an addon for this mod that gives the trains real liveries. Not my priority right now though.
"Can you add more engines to the trains?" - In short, I am unsure how to. I am aware this is not exactly realistic, but at the moment theres not much I can do. If possible, it will happen in the future. Whenever I figure that out.
"Do I need soundfixes for this to work?" - No, but if you want the trains to have sound, you'll want sound fixes.
"Is this compatible with other train mods / traffic mods?" - That is entirely at your own risk, I have no idea. I did not make this mod with other traffic mods in mind. However I will make a version without the traffic rules file so this can be used freely with cips' traffic density mod.
