"Anyone Can Sleep, But Not Laugh" Walkthrough

This is a guide that compiles every decision in Witch on the Holy Night's whodunit chapter required for 100% completion. It's worth mentioning that, while the chapter isn't particularly straightforward, you should give it a whirl without the guide for the best experience. Messiaen curry's on me if you can figure it out on your own!

The Dead Ends
Place bookmarks before making each decision so you can search for them upon seeing an ending. The dead ends are also required for the "Legendary Detective Kumari" achievement, despite its description. Holding CTRL will fast-forward text, F5 will skip to the next scene. Additionally, enabling read text as highlighted can assist in marking what has and hasn't been seen.

We should each stay in our rooms until morning.

-Decision N-
I agree.

-Decision P-
It's dangerous for Aozaki to go alone.

-Decision R-
I can rest easy now.

No helping it, then.

The Bad Ends

Choose the incorrect culprit or have too few clues.

Choose the correct culprit but incorrectly choose any later decision.

Got all the way to finding out the killer at the end but still got a bad ending because I didn’t choose enough previous right choices. Highly satisfied with all of it though. Died laughing. 😉

It happens! There are plenty more extras, too. The Wonderful World of Ploys is *required* reading if ya ask me.

I played through the entire story on Switch without realising there was an extra chapter :|

Mahoyo's primary narrative is told as a kinetic novel, a sub-genre of visual novels wherein there are no decisions or alternative routes. This guide is for an extra chapter, "Anyone Can Sleep, But Not Laugh", that closely aligns with your run-of-the-mill visual novel, featuring interactivity and multiple endings. You can access all extra chapters from the Archive under Extras!

I have finished 12th chapter and I dont see any form of "decision". How?

Yup, just as a confirmation - went through all remaining "dead ends" and got the achievement! Thanks for the guide!
Btw, you can use ctrl to speed up text and f5 to fast forward till the enxt scene. Might be useful for someone who didn't make enough saves.

Ah, yeah, you may need the dead ends also. I'll mention it in the guide.
I suppose they're technically bad endings; perhaps not so much "endings" as they are forced resets? I'm not so sure. The game differentiates the two for whatever reason. Semantics, semantics!

Hm, is the achievement description correct? Because I'm pretty sure I've seen all bad endings listed here and I didn't get it/ Do I need to view all dead ends as well?
