T2SwiD - UWE Compatibility Patch

Descripción

This mod integrates the Talk to Shopkeepers while in disguise function to the factions and shopkeepers added in the mod Universal Wasteland Expansion by Treadlightly77.

You should now see the dynamic shopkeeper-player interaction you experienced when trading in the Holy Nation also in Inhuman Hunters territory (and HOC, in an extent). UC towns would not revert to default dialogue when brought to Warring Empire states, but rather will keep the "Empire culture", so to speak. The Hook Raiders will rightfully fear threats involving the name of their leader and the other bandit factions too, rather than just "our boss/ our leader". And many more! Character name wordswaps added by Universal Wasteland Expansion were also integrated in T2SwiD to immerse your shop infiltration experience.

Please also note that this add-on, unlike the other ones, has the same caveat with the main T2SwiD mod. Expect updates for this add-on whenever the main mod is updated.

Please load this mod after the base Talk to Shopkeepers while in Disguise while loading Universal Wasteland Expansion above. It is also recommended that this add-on be loaded LAST among the other T2SwiD add-ons, if you are also using some of them.

Thank you very much!

"recent" is the August 2024 UWE update. Still, I did not notice in my November 2024 update of this patch that UWE changed dialogue packages of selected barkeep NPCs... I thought it only added new shopkeepers

Hello @Fartlaster! I checked this one and I think this is connected to the recent update in UWE. I'll push an update in a little while to incorporate this fix. Thank you very much for informing me about this!

I can't seem to talk to the holy nation barmen, all the other holy nation shop keepers I can talk to

Glad you were able to bring it onto the Workshop, it makes it a lot easier to add to Steam collection haha

I'm pretty sure the UWE update won't affect too much dialogue, depends on how you did it. All of my dialogue changes were mostly *additive* changes, which makes them (hopefully) compatible no matter what UWE changes :cactusrum:

It was actually only hosted in nexusmods for a very long time. I think around a year there already. I just wasn't able to put in on Steam as I want to finish the layouting of the Steam page for all the add-ons, and that required significant time that only opened up last month. ^_^'

I think this patch won't be too affected by an incoming update, as this patch's late 2022 version endured the June 2023 update of UWE. Still, I would have the same hope with you. This patch required more labor (repetitive task) than the actual Talk to shopkeepers while in disguise mod itself.

Thank you for creating this! Didn't realize it existed until now. Great job bro :cactusrum:

UWE is apparently going to update relatively soon, so hopefully a lot of patches like yours / mine / others don't end up breaking lol

Those patches were already available in Nexus a year ago, just late uploads due to not having Steam version of Kenshi back then. Sorry for the delay, yet I am thankful that this is still appreciated :steamhappy:

Welcome! Ahahaha sometimes I think of not dealing with patches anymore, as for example this specific UWE patch is more tedious than the actual main module of Talk to Shopkeepers while in Disguise... But that overhaul mod adds so much more, and with its most recent updates (June 2023) being about bribery for shopkeepers, makes me more motivated to flesh out the "trader" experience

Huge, thanks for all these patches! Monotonous work, greatly appreciated.
