What is ReSplice?
ReSplice is the banner under which I will release any xenotype I feel like making. Similar to ReGrowth, I aim for my additions to be vanilla friendly in both artstyle and lore. Everything added was made to fit or mirror vanilla. From a simple UI texture to a new more complex system,being as performance and vanilla friendly is the main objective I have.

Inspired by the well known Succubus (and Incubus), Charmweavers are a new archite powered xenotype you can encounter and add to your colonies. They are rare, similar to sanguophages, and quite unique, offering some interesting upsides and downsides.

Charmweavers are a relatively simple xenotype. They should work fine in whatever load order you have and be a nice addition, if not for the xenotype itself, then for the genes they add.

ReSplice is designed to be as lightweight as possible, adding the minimum of new code required for its additions to work.


























These are all the mods currently support from our end:

  • Vanilla Races Expanded - Highmates
  • RJW - inlcudes patch to make VRE - Highmates work with it as well.



Q: Can this mod be added to an existing save?
A: Yes, without issues. Charmweavers only appear in events, so there is no issue.

Q: Can this mod be removed from a save?
A: No, I do not recommend removing mods that add new genes during an active game.

Q: Can I use other mods that add similar xenotypes?
A: Sure..

Q: Is this mod part of the Vanilla Expanded Series?
A: No, it's not.

Charmweaver quest is for some reason guaranteed to spawn in early game. Overall another classic goonworld mod

Hi helixen, i got missing headiff error from ideology and a lot because i only use biotech and odyssey. can you check it up so i didnt get error pop up again?

the log said :
Failed to find Verse.HediffDef named RS_RecentPregnancy. There are 739 defs of this type loaded.

and i search for it on rimsort and it point to this mod on headiff_ideology_misc.xml

I found out this mod adds 30+ seconds of loading time to the game start all by itself. Not sure if the mod authors can optimize it a lot more but spending half a minute just for one species mod seems a bit extreme to me.

I'm having the same problem as @Ostrich-Hungry. When thralls die they aren't being removed from the 3 thrall limit per charmweaver.

hey this is the only mod of yours I could find that doesnt have comments disabled, & I can't find anywhere else to contact u (I get it lol) so;
your Outland series is really cool & deserves to be its own thing, Clanfolk-style (but instead of having no combat system it instead ditches the Wealth management meta & clown-car raids for something else. the theming of Outland cries out for warfare more similar to DF battles that Rimworld doesn't support no matter how many mods u use).

obviously "go make a game i think would be fun" is easier said than done but. IMO a lot of people have their appetites wetted for content similar to Rimworld that lack RW's big glaring flaws/jank that can/will never be addressed. & while most entries into that subgenre are pretty amateurish, I think just based purely on what I've seen scrolling your modpage, you've actually got The Stuff. a lot of it genuinely looks held back by being in Rimworld

just wanted to make sure somebody at some point said it to you
