• Follow the warehouse guide up to step 3. https://wiki.aiwarehouse.xyz/tfc-foc-pc-guide
• Install Protontricks or Wine. (Open the Discover app on your Steam Deck)

1. Right click on the installer.
   
2. Click on wine or protontricks.
   
3. Click on FOC
   
4. Wait for a window to pop up saying "installation successful". Move onto number 6 if you do not get a pop up.
   
5. There should now be a 2,837 kb steam_api in your binaries directory (SHA256: 87d2397d1c9f435ab2915a2875bc17e072e518b4f338e716158449f44d4b9bdc).

If your game launches and loads to the main menu then move onto the next section as it means you avoided this issue!

If your game doesn't launch after installing the new api to FOC rest assured there is a fix!

• Navigate to
  /home/{User}/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/TransformersFOC
  If you wish to back up your save continue to
  213120/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/
  otherwise
  
• Delete the folder called "213120".
  
• Switch to the latest version of Proton and run the game through it and get to the main menu.
  IF you get here (The picture below) with the new API installed you're golden and ready to move onto the next step.
  

If you try and log into multiplayer now after following the warehouse guide you'll be stuck loading until the sun explodes.

This bug was fixed in an earlier proton 8 version which we'll have to download!

This is the recommended option for installing GE-Proton8-7.

1. Download ProtonUp-Qt on the discover store:
   
2. Open ProtonUp-Qt and click on "add version".
   
3. Select compatibility tool as "GE-Proton" and version as "GE-Proton8-7".
   
4. Click install and once it's done restart Steam.

If don't like using ProtonUp-QT for some reason, this another option to manually install GE-Proton8-7.

1. Download https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/GE-Proton8-7
   
2. Extract the tar.gz
   
3. Place the extracted folder in "$HOME/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/"
   
4. Restart steam

1. Open Steam
   
2. Right click on Transformers Fall of Cybertron
   
3. Click on properties
   
4. Change your compatibility setting to "GE-Proton8-7".
