This is a mission, as the helicopter is too big for any hangar, you need to spawn it via the mission editor!

History

The Mil Mi-6 is a heavy transport helicopter designed by the OKB-329 from Michail Mil in the USSR. In the period from it's first flight 1957 to 1962, the Mil Mi-6 had established 12 world records and was the largest helicopter in the world. It was capable of carrying up to 12,000 kilos freight with an empty mass of 27,200 kilos. Still today, the Mil Mi-6 is the second largest helicopter, followed by it's successor the Mil Mi-26 as the largest hlicopter ever that enterd service.

Helpful Information
  • To open the cargo bay door, the 115V system must be powered, meaning the APU or at least on engine must be running and the associated generator must be on.
  • Park the helicopter only on a strraight surface to avoid sliding!

Thank you a lot. There is always a slight drift, but it should no be that bad, i will try it out when i have time

What a wondrful helicopter! truly impressive!
The systems and the looks make it a standout—congratulations, Captain!

I do have one small issue, though: it seems to drift left on the yaw axis. Despite having all stabilizations enabled, the drift persists. I’m not sure what’s causing it.

The autopilot does only stabilise the helicopter, it cant really controll it, like it is on the real one

You need to press escape and then on the flag symbol, there you can load the mission and play it

I just had to say I did a forest firefighting challenge after erupting the volcano and this helicopter is just amazing. For being as heavy and large as it is it has decent maneuverability and amazing lifting power. like even with the bucket full it doesn't effect the performance that much.

What systems do the hydraulics pumps power? I get the generator powers the electrics and all but I am unsure what the hydraulic pumps on the engines do.
