Introduction

This guide does not encourage breaking any Steam rules. On the contrary, it is an explanation of the rules and a guide on how to follow them correctly

(spoiler: The easy way to be 100% compliant with the rules is to upload a screenshot of a steam ♥♥♥♥ game)

Explicit user content has the same level of censorship as adult games. Children see this content blurred and censored, adults will be able to remove the blur after pressing a warning.

If you want Steam to censor or uncensor this content, go to the end of the guide.

Note: I recommend uploading only fictional content (it can be from the animators and characters you want), and no real people ♥♥♥♥ to avoid any possible problems.

Step 1 - Uploading

This guide works with Artworks, Screenshots, Workshop, Guides. But to simplify, I will use an Artwork as an example.

Go to your Artwork section, it is in your profile
Go to "Upload Artwork"
Choose a game. This is the most important thing

Never choose no game.
♥♥♥♥ is NOT allowed outside of adult game hubs

I think developers can delete any content in their hub if they wish, and if no game is chosen, Steam moderators will have the authority.

Step 2 - What game can I choose?

The game you choose must meet two requirements:

1. It must be an Adult game.
This covers anything from Furry Love to Cyberpunk 2077.

2. Developers don't care if you post content not so related to the game.
Just check the Artwork section to make sure it follows this rule.

The games that I could recommend that are worth less than $1 dollar without discount are:

Happy Engine and Hentai Girl cannot be used anymore
Lust Goddess (FREE) (but i did not tested it)
Hentai Girl Karen ($0,99)
Hentai Girl Fantasy ($0,99)
Hentai Girl Linda ($0,99)
Hentai Girl Hime ($0,99)
Pretty Angel ($0,99) (I never tested this game)
Hentai Bad Girls ($0,99)
Also you can try for free another free ♥♥♥♥ game but I never tested it so I can't recommend it.

If you know other cheaper games that work for this, mention them!

Step 3 - Posting

After uploading your image or gif, giving it the title, description and visibility that you want, it is time to post.

Remember to always publish to the game's Community Hub otherwise the previous step could have been useless.

Step 4 - Tagging

This is the second most important thing, this is what censors this content for children and offended people, and steam won't bother you.

After posting, go all the way down and check that the following tags appear in the content descriptors:
"General Mature Content", "Some Nudity or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Content", "Frequent Nudity or ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Content" & "Adult Only ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Content".

If the tags are not there, press "Update Content Descriptors".

Press the last one and the rest of the nudity and adult content descriptors will automatically be added, then press "ok".

Step 5 (Optional) - Your artwork got banned

(It is not normal for this to happen)

Don´t worry, humans make mistakes, steam moderators are humans (I think)

When you get a content ban,
your content will have a red frame

And you will receive this mail.

Just click on "Contact Support Team" in the mail or by going to your removed artwork.

Then you go to this page, click on "Contact Steam Support" again

Explain why it is unjustified in a simple way and in English (because they respond faster).

Don't be too nice
Don't be too aggressive
Just keep it simple

The first message is where you have the best chance of getting it back, so do your best. If they say no the first time, they may become infatuated if you insist.

Do not write a huge text
they will not even read it and they will send you this automated and inaccurate message,

Make your question and context brief and easy to answer

Final A - Your artwork got unbanned

You did everything right and Steam support accepted the error.

Final B - Penalizations

If they were right to delete it for something you did wrong. The ban you will have is...

1 day of not being able to upload content for each deleted content

1 artwork banned

1 day of not being able to upload content

10 artworks banned

10 days of not being able to upload content

30 artworks banned

30 days of not being able to upload content

∞ artworks banned

∞ days of not being able to upload content

Yes, the ban is not very heavy, just ask the support what you did wrong so as not to repeat it.
Rest assured, you will never lose your account or your games, that only happens to scammers, not for uploading ♥♥♥♥... (♥♥♥♥ that only has legal ages obviously)

If you don't think they are right

❌ Don't fight with the support
❌ Please don't use arguments like "other people do it and they don't get banned", you will look like a fool, the ticket is about you not about other people
✅ Ask which specific rule you broke and learn from them.

Some tips:

I don't recommend having too many public artworks. A misunderstanding can lead to a 365-day ban from uploading content if 365 of your artworks are deleted.
Personally, I only have in public the content that i use for my profile, no more than 10 ♥♥♥♥ pieces at a time. The rest are friends-only.

If you don't want to see ♥♥♥♥ content on steam just press on your username and press on "Store preferences"

You can disable specific adult content you want from both the store on one side and the community on the other.

You're only risking your account. Pointless uploading anything on Steam, even in the adult game hub. I got my Action Taimanin game screenshot banned after years of it existing fine, from 1 guy reporting it cuz they got butthurt that I refused their shameless plug of their own screenshot link under mine. And my screenshot was what you see in the game, it was not any more suggestive than what you can already see on the store page's images and in-game. Meanwhile the guy who reported me had sexualized skin mods on RE game and had screenshots of that which never got taken down after reporting it. Support backtracked after multiple tries, said the ban was excessive but it still needed to be blurred, they lifted the ban yet still told me not to break rules, when I never did .This is the reason I decided to remove all my artworks, videos, workshop mods. Because Steam support is useless and it all depends on luck on whether you get a bot or an actual human behind the ticket.

I advise you guys contacting steam support,
I did that 'cause 6 of my arts got banned, after their response they banned all 115 of my arts and blocked me from contacting steam support for 30 days.

And by "them" i mean "Tony" from steam support

Ok so for Step 2 - What game can I choose? > What about posting to NSFW games that are no longer sold on steam? like Princess Project. Do you think Devs would care. If it meets the same fate as happy engine no harm done since its no longer sold on the market anyway
